Ohhhh my god, I haven't seen this since I was 8 or so. I thought it was just X that I was thinking of, but nope, I definitely remember that gator, X-2 is the game all right. Probably my first video game. I remember it as being SPECTACULARLY hard, but I would keep trying just so I could see the cool bosses. And I loved Flame Stag's level and always thought he looked like a dog not a deer.

Great longplay. Just a quick pointer: If you play the bosses in the following order: Wire Sponge, Crystal Snail, Flame Stag, you can get a helluva lot of items without having to repeat stages. It helps because then you have two subtanks and three heart tanks when confronting the first X-hunter.

A small tip for those who play this. You CAN do other stages in between parts of the final area. And one part in Bubble Crab's stage is a GREAT place to replenish your Sub Tanks. And I HIGHLY recommend refilling Sub Tanks in-between parts of the X-Hunter stages.

Definitely a favorite as a kid. I regret not owning this as a kid. The only thing I didn't like was that Sigma was the final boss, I would have preferred someone else for a little variety.

To the person who said this would have been better on the genesis, it wouldn't even had made it on the gen. True the gen could do better animation, but it's color pallet and sound chip were pretty inferior. Plus the whole 3/6 button controller deal. AND I believe x3 had a special chip in the cart to pull of some graphical effects.

You know, the cutest part of this game is the theme for Crystal Snail.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😀 The cuteness of the theme is pretty ironic since the Megaman X is darker and edgier than its prequel series.

kusoman 謝路逖 In reality, X2 is 'slightly' harder than X1. 100% Item Completion in X2 is also, a much tougher thing to accomplish. Then you have the 'X-Hunters', which increase the challenge, if the player chooses to collect / restore Zero's parts. The problem is.. is that X1 is 'ultimately' harder to beat, because of Sigma at the end.
