Old video, but the concept was the computer could charge for specials any time. Walking forward, jumping, during another special, etc. Players could do it as well, it was just really difficult, while the computer didn't have the physical limitations of players.
@batlin3 жыл бұрын
Human-controlled players can do some of these things in very limited circumstances due to glitches (for example, Guile's "stored" flash kick, and the free sonic boom you can get if you keep holding forward during a medium throw and hit punch when you start walking). However, many of these examples can _not_ be done by players, regardless of physical limitations. You can see this by watching any good TAS of SF2 -- the player can do some amazing things, but there are some fundamental restrictions you can't get around, but which the CPU-controlled player can (e.g. attack recovery time is different or non-existent, allowing impossibly fast jabs and sweeps by characters like Zangief and Ryu).
@jeffchisamore15563 жыл бұрын
@@batlin Good call. Many game magazines during the day went over this in detail, especially when they ported it to the SNES. The idea (I got from it) was computer controlled characters didn't have any input lag from the polling of the controller, and was able to pull off way more than any physical player could, with timing that was almost impossible to counter/duplicate. If I remember correctly, you're absolutely right about the recovery time diminishing as the level of difficulty increases - we just accepted that as "challenge". I'm honestly surprised to see a video detailing this some twenty plus years later. It's been like this for a long, long time. By the way, great timeout at the end. Pretty damn sneaky, lol

@Axel Knight, for some reason I can't reply to your comment (no doubt thanks to the madness of the new and "improved" Google+ comment system)... but yes, all the grab attacks -- Blanka's headbite, E. Honda's knee kick and bear hug, Balrog's headbutt, and possibly worst, Zangief's head press and bite -- all of them are incredibly overpowered when executed by the AI player. Even the jab and short (weak kick) attacks seem to interrupt each other and land impossibly fast when executed by the CPU player. At some point I tried to replicate this on a frame-by-frame basis (i.e. slowed down to about 1/30th normal speed, then pressing either jab or short on alternate frames) and still couldn't do it. So yeah, quite a lot of cheatsy-doodles utilised by the AI opponent :D

It is hard, but mostly in a predictable way. You'll quickly learn most of the enemy attack patterns, how to avoid them and how to bait them into opening a weakness. Guile can be manipulated into doing a flash kick which leaves him open for a free attack. Ryu's pattern of hadokens can be countered with a well-timed jump kick. Just wait on the ground for Chun Li and intercept her with a dragon punch or similar. Dhalsim has long reach but is just too slow and predictable. The hardest opponents (due to speed, aggressiveness, reach and hit priority) are probably Blanka and Vega ("Claw").

In other word, the street fighter 2 world warrior boss is using the action replay so they can be very strong, in turbo they use less action replay code. l like the vega stage in street fighter 2 world warrior due to the reason that the girls dancing is moving around and is in bright yellow colour giving me feeling more vivid and compare the turbo dark green seem not that good and girl is not moving but still giving people sound when you win.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo (HF) is EASILY one of the WORST AIs EVER coded. Easily! It's not only VERY obvious that the AI reads your input first and answers with a corresponding counter (even before the move you do is observable). In fact, there has been an attempt of SF enthusiasts to create a new SF 2 Turbo with a "fair" AI. They looked into the original assembly code and did see the above thing within the programming code.

It is not possible by a human. Watch the beginning of the video, just after Guile's flash kick, he walks forward, then blocks for a couple of frames, then throws a sonic boom. Then at about 0:19, you can see Guile walk forward and perform a flash kick without charging at all. The only situation I know where a player can do this is by "storing" a flash kick during a strong throw but this obviously didn't happen here, and AFAIK can only be done in the arcade World Warrior versions.
