Use of Hearing Aids Slows Cognitive Decline

Nuclear medicine imaging research conducted at UCLA shows that patients who do not use hearing aids show reduced activity in their brains. Patients experiencing cognitive decline were followed for two years, and patients who did use hearing aids did not have a reduction in brain function. This research was presented at the SNMMI Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada in the summer of 2024. Learn more from this segment on Fox 5.
