They're 10 species of snook. World record 61 lb 8 oz! In 12 ft of water. Florida 20-30lbs is not uncommon! They can also coexist with largemouth bass. In Florida snook can be landlocked in freshwater ponds with tarpon! Zero mangroves!

Good info, thank you for sharing. I can't imagine seeing a 60# Snook holy cow. I saw what we estimated as 30# one time and I about lost consciousness.
