saw these guys for free last year and it was by far the most fun i’ve ever had at a concert. they brought the bug dude you see on the cover through the crowd on a giant stick and he came right up to me! it was so weird but fun as hell

Had the chance to meet Snooper and see them open for Bikini Kill in Knoxville. Seeing them live was incredible, their energy is unmatched and they definitely love what they do! Bought their t-shirt right after their set!

It’s called egg punk. Kinda got coined in 2017-18 for punks in that devo hardcore styling very Lofi and nasaly vox but staccato. It kinda has a post punk thing to it but it def is it’s own thing and devo def made it. Coneheads DLIMC and uranium club and hankwood and the hammer heads were some favs in the 2017 era. With egg punk come chain punk. Chain punk is more heavy dbeat/trailing on metal sounding hardcore. There was a spectrum of egg vs chain n where certain bands fell. Snooper is def the most commercially successful egg punk band yet

I would add Lost Sounds to the list of similar bands, they do a similar type of zany garage punk from Tennessee. I don’t think I would give this an 8 because tbh a lot of the songs are so short and straightforward they don’t really stick with me. If they added more melodic or even experimental elements I would probably like it more. But then again it might just need to grow on me.
