This get steam rolled by a normal CharizardEX deck, as the wall is basically useless against Moltres - I used to run a deck like this but instead of Snorlax, used baby mewtwo instead. The problem with this deck is that sometimes you get lucky and build-up blastoise early, and you're just stuck behind since you can't retreat Snorlax - so it gives a way free rounds and energies for the opposing team to build up on. Example is MoltresEx/CharizardEx, - Their Zard is already ready at the back while Moltres is chipping away Snorlax with their heatwave attack. You 1 shot MoltresEX, but in return CharizardEx 1 shots you as well.

This deck is so underated. I got the 5 consecutive wins with this exact deck. I faced pretty much all meta decks besides a Venausaur deck (thank goodness, cuz the toad is way too tanky for the turtle). Also, for my 5th game i faced a Pikachu deck. It was tough but i somehow won by thinking ahead and utilizing my cards in hand. (My Misty RNG was terrible btw, but o'l Snorlax stall is the real MVP). Thanks GODZLYY and good luck on ladder gamers

the problem with snorlax is he costs 4 to retreat. if your opponent is smart, theyd let snorlax stay in the active zone while they set up too lol

Can someone explain to me the benefit of the old amber? Why not just use a basic Pokémon instead? If the old amber gets ko'd the your opponent still gets a point, so I guess I don't get its benefit

If it doesn’t get koed, you can discard for no cost. Also with a deck that only runs 4 basics, most of the time you don’t want to give them one of your main starter Pokemon. You would much rather lose a fossil instead.

That's why it's better to run basic mewtwo instead of snorlax. Only 2 retreat cost has less health but still gives you time to set blastoise up an you can easily retreat if you want to be agressive
