this is the best KZbin Substance designer channel, know that your work is essential for people who do not have access to quality courses, as it is my case that I live in a third world country

Thank you very much for these two well explained and detailed tutorials. This served me for my school project and it is a pleasure to have tutorials of a quality like this one for free and in addition with a bit of humor. +1 subscriber.

That makes me very happy to hear, thanks for letting me know! Glad to have you on board, and I hope you'll be able to stand my bad attempts at humour going forward! :D

Thank you dude. This is a really awesome beginners tutorial, very clear and concise explanation and pacing. Quality and contentwise you're way up there with paid courses, maybe even better! Double thumbs up from me!
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment, Tim! It makes me super happy to hear you think so. I'm definitely trying to attain the status and prestige of a paid course, while also being free and accessible to all so that helps me feel as though I'm getting there. :D

Could you do how to stop tiling from looking really obvious? Is there a method in Substance Designer?
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
I mean, there certainly isn't a button for it (as much as I wish there was!). Its all contextual to what you're tiling, whats the issue?
@arikateno5 жыл бұрын
Is it too much to ask if you could do a rendering tutorial for the materials? I assume you use Marmoset or something like that, your renders look waay nicer than mine lol. Even if its just a very short one.
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
Not at all! I've been thinking about doing a video on it lately, now that Ive actually got more time. Let me play around with it for a few days, see what I come up with. :)

Awesome! Could you do a tutorial on wheel rims one day?

Beautiful job as always, m'dude! A tiny question. Is it possible to create human skin in substance designer?
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Khrome! And absolutely. Can't say I know exactly a good way to do it myself, but it definitely is a capability. :)

You should do a tutorial on doing scales for like dinosaur skin and such, you know, with independently coloured scales, different sizes and all that stuff you see on lizards. would be very helpful.
@GetLearnt4 жыл бұрын
Well I do already have a generic scales tutorial on my channel here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKrTi4B8Zq2Lm80. Hopefully this will give you enough insight to then change some parameters to fit what you're looking for! :)

Hello, How do you add this on unreal after ? pls
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
I believe Unreal will have a Substance Plugin which will allow you to plug in the .sbsar file with little setup. Otherwise, you can right-click on your graph in the Explorer tab and export outputs as bitmaps, which you can then later import into Unreal. :)
@julienjm97585 жыл бұрын
@@GetLearnt Yeah sure, but the fact is, there is no snow or rock 3D either when i choose the material imported to the landscape.
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
@@julienjm9758 I think I know what you are getting at. If you want to see more height information, you will need to use your height map to physically deform the mesh itself, which I am unsure whether you are able to do in Unreal itself or not. Another possibility is using a Parallax Occlusion Mapping shader on your terrain material which allows you to view the material like how we do in Substance Designer. That way is a little more tech-savvy and might be a little complex to set up on your own, but I am sure you can find a tutorial if you search "Unreal Parallax Occlusion Mapping". :)

@@GetLearnt Ok, and how did u render the material at the beginning of ur first video ?
@GetLearnt5 жыл бұрын
@@julienjm9758 That was actually done in Blender 2.8. I wanted to test the new Eevee render engine, which was pretty cool.
