So, light magic seems to be a product of true love since Emma can cast it, being a product of Snow and Charming’s true love and how Regina was able to cast it based on her love of Henry. But I wouldn’t put it past bad/lazy writing like how they made Zelena ridiculously OP, her cheating death, and left out the amulet being a source of her power and her never wearing it since they took it off of her.

She didnt make a dimension but a portal. And she just put up a protection spell that atops all non pure hearted people from passing. Not everything is about power. Knowledge, technique, skill are important. Just like with the dark curse. A spell that basically destorys anything in its path, takes people into another realm, creates a town and changes the memories of anyone in there. Regina did that. But it was a spell that allowed her to do so abd the power needed didnt come from her

Yes but. - They meant to give the child back to Maleficent and they didn't know the baby wasn't a dragon also they felt very guilty after that -Snow was a thief and a vandal because her Step-mother who was supposed to raise and love her decided to take the anger meant for her mother out on a child who was manipulated by a full-grown evil woman. Snow had no choice to escape the kingdom other than becoming a thief - Charmings mother was threatened by the king if he didn't go along with the king. - They enacted the dark curse as a last-ditch effort to get Emma so she can save everyone. -Cora killed Snows mother, gave up her eldest daughter so she could be royalty, therefore ruining Zelena, Regina, and Snow's life. She killed Snow's mother so Regina could be Queen and Regina didn't even want to be queen. She killed the boy her daughter loved also. She's killed thousands of people and ruined even more people's lives. If Regina or Rumple or someone who was counted as evil had killed Cora no one would have cared at all. Rumple killed his own mother, didn't he? So Snow killing someone who has ruined so many lives, is a small price for the amount of damage Cora has done.

Regina's heart became lighter so, why not Snow's? Btw, Snow regrets her act, so it's the first step to wore the darkness. During long years, Regina had any regret, that's why her heart was dark, until the 3x20 episode. It's our job to not let darkness take our heart, so that's what Snow did, the darkness went away.
