At an elevation of 4,639 feet, Frazier Park is an unincorporated community in Kern County, close to the intersections of Los Angeles and Ventura counties. With Gorman to the south and Lebec to the north, it is one of the residential Mountain Communities of the Tejon Pass so please be respectful of the neighbors and neighborhood.
Part of the Transverse Ranges of southern California, they begin at the southern end of the California Coast Ranges and lie within Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Kern counties. Within Frazier Park is Frazier Mountain at 8,017 feet, a broad, pine-forested peak that is part of the Los Padres National Forest. It is the sixteenth-highest mountain in this range. Close by Mount Pinos at 8,847 feet is the highest point. An Adventure Pass may be required to stop and park within the Los Padres National Forest. We always get one since it is good to support the organizations that care for our natural resources we have enjoyed all our lives.
