When I lived in Cooper's Hill near the the RJR transmitters, during January and February , we woke up to snow on the lawn but it melted at sunrise. I've heard of similar incidents in Irish Town...

The lowest temperature recorded in Jamaica was 4°c in the blue mountains. Also, snow did fall at that time but it never settle. That was back in the '70s
@sam3kperv13 сағат бұрын
Whe have had short lived snow ❄️ fall in the blue mountains area before, and we've had hail fall in the portmore area in 2005, hail the size of tennis balls..

Hail is reasonably normal.

Hi Dani, we know that snow doesn't fall in Ja, but what some will experienced are patches of ice in the hill in and around Blue Mountain however, as soon as the sun rises the warm temperature caused them to melt.
@ChrissyGodcallsmeBeloved11 сағат бұрын
I live in St. Catherine and had hail...the temperature is really "cold" at times. Thus, for me, in the hilly interiors they may have snow. I dont think it would go much beyond sunrise however.

@ Dani We had a very heavy hail fall in Red Bank St. Elizabeth is on the hill between Munro College and Junction. It was about 2 inches. It happened on April 20, 2004 the same year we got Hurricane Charley in August 2004 and Ivan in September 2004. It was a rough year for us in South East St. Elizabeth.

its funny when i hear people in jamaica say they see snow in jamaica. it is possible to see hail but not snow at all. the claim of snow is from people that has never traveled to a country that does snow.

It doesnt need to be below zero for snow to form, it has snowed at 9C before.
@WeatherXtras5 сағат бұрын
As I highlighted, if temperatures are above 0 deg C, the influence of dry air can still allow snowfall.

Jamaica is both Island- the land itself is fully surrounded by water. Country- Jamaica has its own government, economy and international policies.

Your video is incorrect as people on the island have their personal experience of snow even though short lived.
@WeatherXtras11 сағат бұрын
While there have been no official or credible reports of snow, as I’ve stated in the video, there have been claims.
@BPJ2221110 сағат бұрын
@WeatherXtras l just view another video by a bloger where a young man is saying history as he has never seen snow on a tree and you could see the ice all over the leaves yes, it will melt quickly. Because of climate change any and everything is possible that was deemed inpossible. Dubai had unusal rain last which is novel to them for a dry place.

You would never live to see snow in Jamaica els every one in Miami would freeze to death Russia Canada so stop it now its frost from the earth
