Snow Lake - Autumn hiking in the Pacific Northwest

After having completed the Cape Wrath Trail in Scotland in August and returned to the Seattle area in the USA, my Friend Amanda and I hiked up to Snow lake in the Cascade mountains to view the fall colours and again enjoy the outdoors.

Lol..yeah no Midges! It was busy as it's an easy hike with great views and close proximity to Seattle. Well spotted!

Wow those 'fall' colours are beautiful. I wouldnt want to take a tumble off those switchback paths. Thanks for sharing the views of the lake, absolutely stunning. 3 weeks of autumn? Good you took your opportunity. Have you ever swam in snow lake? Great video. Was your goodbye a nod to the two ronnies or the hitman and her? Nice one iain.

Yeah its beautiful here in the autumn. You should check out my other preparation hikes as some nice ones there too. And yes, it was a nod to the two Ronnies. Unfortunately Im allergic to cold temperatures and come out in hives which I discovered whilst swimming in the mountain lakes here many years ago. Likewise I also get prickly heat...I'm a Goldilocks type of guy, not too hot and not too cold but just right! Lol

Washington State is very beautiful with its Cascade and Olympic mountains, but is highly underated

It's certainly gorgeous which was one of the major reasons I moved here. People think it rains a lot in Seattle but compared to Scotland it's tropical! 😂
