very cute and very useful. their tails can be up to 105 cm long so theyre able to balance in the mountainous landscape of their natural habitats, and theyre fluffy and store a lot of fat so they can wrap it around their face to use for warmth.

Simply marvelous. He's so excited and full to bursting with happy play that he's doing a weasel war dance. Except more beautiful. He doesn't actually look like there's any effort in his contortions, just a puff of snow dancing in the wind. Simply beautiful.

All cats love pumpkins (eating them) though it can cause serious digestive problems if they eat too much too fast, so big cats are given whole pumpkins they can eat over time. They're essentially big kitty treats!

Yes, but one of them was a starving sick one, and second a rabid one. There's no case of attack of a healthy snow leopard on human. For a cat, even panthera, that can reach a weight over 50-60 kilos, quite interesting. On another hand, spotted leopard is totally different case (although when raised from kitten with human, it can be docile and loving).

Как же ему жарко! В такой шубе! Он еле дышит. Ведь он привык к снегу и холоду, горным ветра, а в Сан-Диего жара, климат совсем другой. Пытается играть, он молоденькие, чувствуется, но жару трудно вынести. Я сама не люблю жару, для меня холод гораздо лучше, поэтому очень понимаю его состояние.

What a gorgeous animal! I'm sad to see it kept in captivity, but also relieved that no poachers are going to get it. I just hope that people will one day respect animals, especially endangered ones. And I'm not a vegetarian of any sort, btw. It's okay to eat meat, we are omnivores after all, but still we should be aware of what we do and eat, and look to minimize animal suffering while keeping living standards at a very high level. Just make conscious choices.

It's not out of cruelty. Snow leopard natural habitats are being destroyed by humans, and the leopards themselves are victims of poaching and illegal marketing. They're endangered because of that. Zoos that have snow leopards are part of conservation and breeding efforts to try to bring the population back up and eventually release into the wild. But before they can do that, we need countries to clamp down on illegal hunting and marketing and other problems that are causing their population to decline.
