Tim, I purchased the back blade for my Heavy Hitch over the summer after watching your video last winter. I had a landpride 60” blade that I had sold back to the dealer, earlier in the year, due to it being huge to store. The Heavy Hitch blade folds up and you can tuck it anywhere for storage. I chose the UHWM blade, and it is fantastic!!!! I have it paired with a front blower on a BX2680. Great combo. I have the premium cab, so I purchased a wireless backup camera on Amazon, and it has saved my neck! Thanks for all the great content!

Glad you folks are healthy. :) We had over a foot of that cement in SE PA...I am ready for spring...We lost our nurses aid for a couple of month's with the trumpvirus, and the neighbor across the street passed away. So needed to help out there... My drive way is straight down, which works great, the neighbors is straight up. Constantly watching for the drive lights to come on when my wife needs me. Makes the job more stressful than normal. I just want to be on the golf course every morning.

Good video. I went with an old fashion snow plow on the front of the 2032R. Perfect for New England winters, although I probably could have gotten away with using the bucket. We just got 2 feet of snow and my driveway is dry as a bone! Be well and God Bless! My wife says I have an attachment addiction......LOL.

You could add Artillian extensions to widen the blade..... Add a poly cutting edge. You could weld/bolt a right angle piece on the left side. Higher end models offer bolt-on plates. You can mount the HH blade on the front. HH makes a front 2' receiver bolt-on. Spray PAM on the blade. JD Frontier rear blades come in 48, 60, etc. Once you move to "standard" from "economy" they can add tilt and offset then optional extras like bolt-on side plates, hydraulics, skid shoes, etc.

That Heavy Hitch blade got the job done with what it was given. And it is an inexpensive accessory. That said, a more expensive, and wider, dedicated rear blade with a much more curved moldboard set at an angle does work better moving snow because it can "roll" the snow. That definitely helps when moving snow sideways. At least that's been my experience at 7500' of elevation along the front range of Colorado.

Enjoy your videos. I have a gravel driveway 0.3 mile long. To keep from disturbing the gravel, I attached a pair of 8" O.D. X 2" wide swivel hard rubber wheels to the back of my 6' road blade, one on each side about a foot from the edge. Using the top link, I can adjust to the desired clearance (about 1.5" - 2"). I angle the blade and one pass down and back does the job. Works great! Initially I tried pneumatic wheels but they bounced too much. The solid wheels work best. If the snow is too deep, I rotate the blade and go backwards so the snow doesn't accumulate under my MF-135.

I have a stone drive and I tried an experiment on my 4 series tractor with a 4 in one bucket. I got a piece of 2 inch schedule 80 conduit and cut a slit down the length of it. I opened the jaw on the bucket and wedged the conduit on the entire width of the open edge of the bucket. Leaving the jaw open and with the conduit on the lower edge of the bucket worked similar to a snow pusher., and the conduit kept the edge of the blade out of the stone. God Bless!

Worrying about mud at the edge of your driveway in January/February amazes me. At this time in the winter I can practically use enough down pressure to lift my front wheels and the worst that happens is a little detaching of the lawn. But I also have a chunk of rubber horse mat for a cutting edge which certainly helps minimize lawn damage.
@christophersiano969

Inverted snowblower works similar to the blade. You look back as you back up to position it, but then when you are moving snow, you look forward for the most part. Occasional looks back to check where the snow is going or to be sure you are not going too fast or too slow to feed the beast. Otherwise, you just drive and concentrate on where the tractor is going. This is especially great as you come to a road or other intersection as it allows you a clear view. The biggest issue I have with all plows is that you end up with a pile somewhere. Either along the side of the roadway or at the end depending on where you are putting it. The issue isn't the first cleaning, but the second and later ones. With a pile in the way, where do you push the next batch? In the past, multiple storms would see me out with the walk-behind blower to cut back the berms so that we could get another push. That kind of thing just sucks. With a blower, you just clear the space again. 3PH blowers are not cheap, but boy do they work. For those of us in the snow belts (I'm in New England) the blower is the way to go. You can see my setup in action on our 1/4 mile shared driveway here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4aoiZ9-nZappbs These blowers are not toys. The shear pins are grade 5 bolts and it will just as easily throw a fist sized rock as it will a mountain of snow, so you need to be careful where the chute is aimed and what you are picking up. Because most of the driveway is gravel, I have the cutting edge raised just a little. This leaves a small layer of snow, but that typically melts or evaporates off in a few days. In the video, you can hear the pieces of gravel getting picked up and thrown from time to time.

I know this is unrelated to the current video but, could you redo the video on how to replace the seat springs for the 1025R? Blades are fine if you have somewhere to put the snow which I don't. My drive goes into the basement with a wall on each side and there's no place across the road even if I could push it over there without getting hit. However my little walk behind snow blower can clean the whole thing out in about 15 minutes. Now a fall back is I could not think about moving the wet stuff you were moving. As a matter of fact I had to get out there at 2000 hrs that night it hit and move it while it was dry.

Now you have frozen boulders around the edge of the driveway. You provided a perfect example to everyone that needs a larger blade to cover the tire tracks The 54" blade, whether front or back will cover the tire tracks since you cannot plow the whole width of the tractor at angle without snow falling of the end of the blade. To make a clean pass you can only use 1/2 to 3/4 of the blade. Get that lady some Coco.

What is the advantage of that scraper blade? For $455 why wouldn't you just get a 3 point quick hitch (which you already have on your tractor) capable countyline blade for $400? If that 2in receiver blade was $150 then I would completely support it

Because he heavy hitch bracket is also useful as a holder for rear ballast weight.

We got a pretty good snow fall about a week ago if I knew you needed to test snow removal I would have left you use it we had like 8 to 10 inches

Remove the bristle brush and add a HDPE cutting edge like you normally put on a plow for concrete. I bet THAT would clean the concrete drive just about as well a straight (non V) plow.

You need an off set bar for the rear plow from what I can see.

I’ve used a back blade behind an old Case tractor and it has limitations. Heavy snow will pull the tractor off line.

We don’t get enough snow to justify one. Moving a few inches of snow is faster with a blade
