For the shoulder seasons when the ground is not frozen or thawing out, I use the back blade of the tractor on which I have welded a 1 1/2 inch iron pipe to the cutting edge. It really helps with snow removal without digging in to the mud. Worth the effort for sure

Hi Katie and Greg. As usual, I enjoyed the scenes of the animals at the beginning and throughout. I especially liked the one when you were on the floor snuggling with the dogs Katie. Greg did a nice job clearing the snow and moving the dirt around. He always impresses me with his skill at doing that and especially so when you really can't see the ground you are working with. It has been wonderful following aloing this year and I appreciate your sharing and all that you have accomplished. Merry Christmas to you both 🎄 Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

I know you're concerned abut wildfire and having combustibles near the house. You COULD however have some flowers/shrubs/herbs up close to the house if you make some raised planter boxes which could be moved away from the structure with the tractor/forks.... and diverting some of the water from the gutter downspout to the planter boxes makes it even less maintenance.

Beautiful Katie and Greg, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. You've given all of us a wonderful ride this year. It's amazing to see a few episodes ago and where you are today. Lot's of stamina and maybe some luck or stubbornness to accomplish so much. The big amazing thing was installing your underground water line and the distance from well to house. That's brutal work and it shows you got muscles all over. Hugs from sunny Santa Barbara (75-81 degrees F recently) 🫶😘🤗🙏🌹🌲🎅🎄🍷😎🐐

We get snow like that. I will clear the roads but just stomp out paths to the shop and chicken area. It snows enough that it’s always easy to walk on. We usually don’t get more than 20” of snow. 😊

I was so Glad you got this video done before Christmas I checked & it wasn't on I was so disappointed so I did some more Christmas decorations and checked again & Yes here you were I had just about cried when I realized there was a possibility there wouldn't be one today I Loved you laying in the floor on ASPIN WISH Y'ALL COULD HAVE FINISHED YOUR SIDING .Glad you hadn't installed the new hot tub before the snow maybe ya can look around & cut down all the trees down that might fall on any thing and solve that problem before it happens. Gregg if you will flip that tractor seat up when your through using your tractor it sure will keep you from having a cold Butt when it sows are when it's cold also when it rains it will prevent wet butt also in summer time hot sun want cause the seat to crack are rip so easy just a suggestion .The house is looking so Good Love all the Animals especially the silliest and Steven I don't think he likes the snow.I wash you & Gregg A very Restful Blessed Merry Christmas BE Safe stay well Love you Guys ❤️ ❤❤
