I have a got question for you (or a more advanced snowboarder). I am right leg dominant, I started with my left leg in lead (regular) because that felt most comfortable, especially leaving the chairlift and skating around. I learned the falling leaf and all that, but I started to feel more comfortable riding down goofy (right leg in lead) and now I carve that way. Going down regular feels weird now, but I still skate and get off the chairlift like like a regular rider, but I also fall still getting off the chair lift often. What should I do? Should I try to learn to carve regular, or should I work on skating/etc.. with my goofy stance, which feels awkward cause I am right handed. Or should I just continue what I do with going regular skating/getting off chairlift and going goofy down mountain.
@richallsopp93137 жыл бұрын
Tutter Brown I'd say pick one and practice that, both riding and skating. But if you want to ride goofy but chair lifts reg then that's cool, you do you!
@atomicgrape337 жыл бұрын
Tutter Brown yeah it’s definitely what’s comfortable for you, as most things are, if your not comfortable you will never progress but I might work on learning to skate the other way, that’s just my idea but really it’s down to your preference.

My bindings seem too big for my board. Looking at your bindings on the huck knife you have a nice gap at the toe side. What size boot and binding do you have, so I can compare? Thx

Hiya Kevin! We've had the first dusting of snow here in Sweden and kids are looking forward to the season. I'd like to get them training, mainly stamina, a bit in advance. Do you have any videos for prepping for the season for younger ones? (they're 5, 9 & 10) I'm an ex snowboarder as I wrecked my knee, so no ski or snowboarding for me. Do you know, is there an alternative means I can use on the slopes?
@MatthewM87 жыл бұрын
I was wondering what size boot you wear? And if you ride a wide park board? Great vid!
@harryforks67087 жыл бұрын
Kevin, how much overhang do you have on your toe and heel when your board is set up for park? I'm about to start learning carving and worried that my size 13's are hanging over the edge too much on my Rossi OneMag 161W

What do you think of the K2 Subculture as a Parkboard?
@christophermatthews5557 жыл бұрын
I admire your minimalism Kevin but surely you can justify owning a second set of bindings so you don't have to switch back and forth between boards.

what binding angles you running on the 420 Kev? looks shallow at front foot and near zero at back foot?

Hey Kevin, nice video buddy! You didn’t mention what angles your directional stance set up was. Could you enlighten me or is it a trade secret? Happy shredding!

Hey Kevin, I currently have the Flow Five Bindings and was thinking about getting the Union Flite Pros, or Contacts, or even the Burton Mission bindings. I mostly ride park but I do spend some time riding trails. What do you think would be the best choice?
@mattnguyen4937 жыл бұрын
I have been on the burton missions for 2 years and have no complaints. It’s a solid binding for really everything.

for sure. i just want to experiment a lil with stances and I want to check out what everyone else is riding, and if a more directional stance would work out better for my freeride days.
@snerck7 жыл бұрын
A lot of negative angle on the back foot in powder makes it a lot more work. Going from -15 to -6 for instance will make a big difference. But don´t get the angles off here, try them out yourself and find what´s comfortable for you! :)

One question that maybe is not for this video but don't know who better to ask. I bought Burton imperial boots and after one season, on the front they are starting to loose the flex, they are lot easier to bend them. I paid a lot of money for those boots and I don't know if this happens to every boot or should I go back and return them to the shop.

I’m looking to step up my game this year, mainly freestyle and hoping someone can assist me with valuable advice. I’ve been riding for years and consider myself intermediate/advanced; I hit all difficulty trails and easy boxes, rails, and even larger jumps. My aim is to get much better at freestyle, 360’s, rails, boxes, jobs, transitional tricks, and jumping on and off side trail jumps/burms. I currently ride a 157 Wide Rossignol Jibsaw. I’d like to get into a lighter board with more pop in which will be easy to spin and jump without tiring out as quick as we do on heavier setups. I’m willing to put it the $ for a nice setup. Need freestyle board. Here are my details: 5’11” 180Lb 36 years old Size 11 shoe Current Setup: 157 Wide Rossignol Jibsaw Ride Rodeo Bindings Burton Hail Boots Size 12 Can I shorten/lighten my board, get a mid-wide board? Maybe lower profile boots. Open to getting new board, bindings, and boots if needed. It’s Black Friday, looking to jump on some good deals. Thank you for your assistance/expertise, it’s greatly appreciated.
