The left turn at @5:44 is also a great stretch to add on to the triangle, its only single track but it has absolutely stunning views of the moors and Aled Isaf, obviously despite it being national speed limit(and no cameras) its the undulations and tight bends along with the scenery that really make it.

I had a beautiful drive on the triangle today in my F Type R. It’s a great road even when you stick to the speed limits (which I do). The corners are fun, you must just avoid speeding down the straights.

Absolutely - it's all about the corners! Enjoy The Drive.

Brilliant road, brilliant scenery and brilliant drive. Shame for those rubbish cameras ruining it. Still enjoyable though, thank you for the drive.

Cheers Lisa - it is still an enjoyable road - but not what it used to be.

Your no-chat presentation makes the viewer feel they are with you in the car👍. I didn't see any National Speed limit signs but I'm guessing it's 60mph along this stretch?

Cheers - yes the road is all de-restricted. Enjoy the Drive!

The futuristic look of the newish cameras spoil the setting just like the horrible wind turbines all over Wales now,i was there 2 days ago went around the triangle twice they were doing work on the cameras by the School section i think they will add more if they are a success,and yes it spoils the fun you feel like big brother is watching you although im 63 driven vans wagons and buses and never had an accident or injured anybody the days we drove for a living and never cast eyes on a speed camera, Most of us do not have the brains of rocking horses it's the few that have the bell end on their heads that made them place cameras, What a car to do the triangle in too !

It’s still a great road. You might choose to adapt to the speed monitoring (or not) but the sinuous tarmac and welsh mountain setting remain undiminished. The Seven loves Wales.

Great video! Is your camera turning or moving focus area? How do you do that?
@SevenDrives3 жыл бұрын
Thanks - it was a good days driving. The camera mount is fixed. The software that compensates for the vibrations and pitch changes gives the impression that the camera is moving. It’s less noticeable on straight sections, but in the bends the turning motion of the Caterham triggers it in to action.

@@SevenDrives Do you use ordinary Gopro? It looks very smart!

Hero 8 - and the Media Mod(ule) to provide a connection for the external microphone and power supply. Shooting in 4K drains the battery very quickly.

Watch the video then add your own opinion on the average speed cameras below…

Average speed cameras don't affect the fun in the corners I guess, but must change how you approach those open sections where you would whelly it in the olden days. Are they over all legs of the triangle?

It’s an odd one. During the drive it felt like I was being watched and assessed. This was a little distracting on the less intensive sections, but when the moors opened up I just got on with driving the the stunning roads. You might be able to tell which bits of the video are which… The cameras are certainly on both of the ‘interesting’ sides of the triangle. Not sure about the A5 section. They are also spaced out along the route so there’s no obvious way of duping them with a park-and-wait approach. Still a great road. But there are others to enjoy too.
