Sherm believes #franklinsaint got off easy in the series finale of #snowfallfx and believes he only deserved a grim outcome. Will believes Franklin has suffered a fate worse than prison or the grave by going out the game as a vagabond. Fresh says he's still in a state of depression since watching that final episode. He's mostly disappointed in Franklin's friends and especially Franklin's mother Cissy for her last hour betrayal. Will questions Fresh and Sherm on what event drove them to dislike Franklin? Fresh brings up a very valid point of the show turning its villains into heroes and the heroes like Franklin's father, Alton plus hero cop neighbor Andre, into the villains. What caused you to stop rooting for Franklin? Do you believe Leon was a true friend? Will believes he's absolute scum for bailing on Franklin for three years. Tell us your thoughts below. Thx for watching. Be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel.

That whole escrow plan with the money to be transferred at the park sounded bogus to me from the start, and I couldn't believe Franklin fell for it. Teddy had a pre-existing relationship with the escrow company to the point of having a secret password. Teddy could have had multiple passwords, including a coded password that could have resulted in those funds being recoverable or trackable by Teddy after the transfer. Once Teddy achieved his goal of getting out of the warehouse and out into the public park, Franklin lost all effective control over the situation. There was nothing Franklin could have done if he got screwed over by Teddy again.

If you don’t see that what Leon did it was the best thing for Franklin then you’re truly not thinking about this clearly. Franklin‘s decisions in the end the episodes, especially with money was never going to work out for him. He literally sold all his equity on the southside back to the person that he hated, and had no ways of real income. Had Leon given him the money. He just be right back asking for more in the same loop because he was addicted. If they fed that addiction it would only make it worse because it’s some point he’s going to have to realize that he can’t do that anymore and maybe Franklin would’ve fell even harder. Y’all are hating on Leon for trying to be a better person and make a better situation outta what he was in 😂 make it make sense

In Franklin's last conversation with Leon, the writers wanted Leon to advance Cissy's point of view, but the writers should have also had Leon on speak the truth about the Spring Street property, which was that Franklin was being delusional and could no longer afford it. Leon came at Franklin with a moral reason for refusing to give Franklin the $3 mil, but there was an actual unsaid business reason as well. When Franklin let the Spring Street property go into foreclosure when he could have sold and recouped at least some of the millions he invested, I knew he was finished. And then Franklin went even further into his delusions in thinking he was going to get anything back from the crackhead who robbed him. Franklin had lost his grip on reality.

Well said y’all. Idk how people were defending Cissy. I thought it was offensive for her to do that to him and then give him the silent treatment when he came to see her. If you’re in Franklins position and sacrificed that much, you’re not gonna be like “you’re right, money isn’t the answer” and just get a regular 9-5. It’s not as easy as people make it seem to just drop the money like that in his position
@Tes7000
@Tes7000 Жыл бұрын
Cissy had made herself absolutely clear to Franklin and Veronique while they were still at the warehouse, but you are correct that the silent treatment was going to do nothing but drive him (and us, the audience) crazy. I know the writers and producers were looking for a moment at the park, but logically, it would have made a lot more sense for Cissy to kill Teddy at the warehouse and avoid going to jail. The blowback from Franklin would have been epic. But the ironic thing is that when Franklin went to beg Cissy for the deed to her house, Franklin still had the Spring Street property to sell. If Franklin had been able to recoup even 25% of the $10+ million he had invested, he would have been okay. That brilliant thing about the finale is that it showed that Franklin was always in control of his fate, even if not in control of himself. It was Franklin's delusions and obsessive behavior that precipitated every bad thing that happened in the finale.

Circa the 12:12 mark, I know a guy like Saint. Also mixed up in drugs back inna day. He hit hard times... Folks, including myself, gave him money, no questions asked, cos we knew him since we were kids. He was always talking about, "when I get a job, things will get better..." He was always TALKING about what he was going to do when A, B, C happens. A, B, C would happen and he was still asking for money. Year after year, his situation did NOT improve. He had people trying to help him. So, why didn't his situation improve? Because he no longer had the CAPACITY to come up! Very similar to Saint as we see him in that last episode. Maybe he had it back inna day. But, now, all he can do is what he does: TALK. He talked schitt about the people who tried to help him because we all had boundaries. He was in rehab for a minute but was always complaining about curfews and not being able to do what he wanted. Then he was homeless. A family friend let him stay with them He didn't want to follow their rules and ended up in shelters. Didn't like the shelter's rules... I guess he wanted to be "free" like Saint. Then it became like a broken record. He didn't GAF about what happened to those of us trying to help him. "I'm not gonna ask for money!"..."I need money"..."are you gonna give me the money or not?" Rinse. Repeat. He'd gotten a job. Where was all HIS money going? Those of us who tried to help my Saint-like friend saw that we had two options: let him bankrupt us and bring us down with him OR walk away. With the help of an agency that helps fmr addicts get back on their feet, he'd gotten him self a section-8 apartment. The landlord asked that he not smoke. Every time I spoke to him, I heard the sound of a lighter and him taking drags. I tried to tell him to stop but you couldn't tell him nothing. He thought his landlord was too stupid to know that he was smoking in her apt. He told me she was kicking him out and ask if he could stay with me and my child, and of course, he asked for money. I hooked him up one last time and never spoke to him again. I say alllllll that to say that if Leon had given Franklin money...we saw how Franklin responded when Leon gave him $20! And, if I remember correctly, didn't Leon offer him a job at the center? Franklin would've ended up right where he ended up.

People keep saying Franklin didn't care about his mom while she was in jail and only care abouthis money... I mean right after she shot Teddy he was in shock but he didn't chew her out he said "mama we gotta go, we gotta hlget outta here" .She wanted to stay and be caught. He decision was selfish stupid and impulsive because she had no way of proving what she was accusing the C.I.A of. She didn't record, take notes or pictures if her whole socall plan was to sacrifice herself for Franklin...she was too far gone just as Franklin got AFTER she pull that move on him which pushed him to the edge of desperation. And for ppl saying he was wrong for talking to her like that, she was gaslighting him. You don't pull a study like that and expect a person not to wanna know why you did that. The same way Franklin asked teddy "Why'd you do it, why did you take allll of his money" Him needing to know "Why" came in a close 2nd to him wanting his money back because like Franklin said he thought that him and Teddy were friends and would know each other well after all of this. So when Teddy told him why even though it was a selfish asshole answer Franklin felt he atleast had closure in knowing why teddy did it, which is why Franklin said "OK now we're getting somewhere" because before that teddy wouldn't give him any substantial answers. But Cissy couldn't even have the decency to tell him "I did it because I snapped" , "I didn't believe him" ,"because he killed your father", or even something as silly as "because that money had too much blood behind it". She just sat there staring at him as if she was a mute knowing in turn that silent shit was gonna drive him crazy because at this point he lost all his money and right now all he wants is an answer. And then u keep hanging up on him , well ok you showin me where I stand.. I'm trying to give you grace because you're my mom but anybody else I woulda already chewed them out, so ok ima treat you like some mf on the street cuz that's how you treated me by doin this and now you have the audacity to not speak... many people will say well she asked him "is getting this money or it's not ever speaking to me again will you be okay with that" .. sure he said yes because you're asking him to make a choice right there in the moment where he feels the money is right there so yeah he'll say anything to get you out of his face from trying to change his mind but he didn't really mean that. I'm sure once he got the money he would have still been looking out for his mom and trying to talk to her. But if that was her deal she reneged on that and basically said "fuk it you're not going to get your money and you'll never hear from me" and that was some BS... I feel like if she felt she wasn't never going to talk to him anymore why show up to the visits she has an option to not come. But when Leon comes she knows how to talk and wants to act like Leah's been the same she never had this whole series.. I call that bein fake... yeah she braided his hair that time after Leon killed that little girl and had to hide out but prior to that and even after they wasn't that close. But since she's mad at Franklin and not taking accountability for what she did she wants to act like she's so down for Leon.... I know it's a long read but that woman irritated me and everybody who is going with the narrative that she's the victim LOL

The popular thing now is to say Franklin deserved what he got... but nah it wasn't that he was greedy, he was just trying to get back what was stolen from him.. before that he lived a pretty modest life for a man with over 78million (gotta remember preaches stole 5mill before teddy stole the 73million)... For most of the series Franklin still stayed in the hood (or close) and was wearing his regular jeans/slacks with his members only jacket. Yeah he had a plane but it was practical... other than that he lived pretty modestand made investments and saved (which led him to having 73million) he wasn't greedy at all..he wasn't taxin on the brick and he put everybody on and everybody was rich...he just wanted what was his... it's crazy to think someone is gonna take gettin got for 73million (in the 80s) and not do nothin or feel no type of way after you've had to (accidentally) kill kevin, go to jail and get your ass beat, your hs sweetheart get strung out, have to kill her dad because he was gettin dirty and too close, get shot multiple times by her, have to rehab yourself back to health,go to war with skully, then man boy, then kadeja, because you wouldn't give up Leon, then Kane, have to kill your friend because he became a liability, get 5million stolen by your security, your dad get killed by your plug, fall out with your aunt and uncle because LOUIE was greedy,and after allllll that have this white man take ALLLL your money would make that all had been for Nothin. Teddy started it Louie Stoked it and Cissy selfishly solidified his fait. Cissy didn't kill Teddy to save Franklin because she coulda been did that when they had him tied up... the beginning of the season she was with Franklin gettin back at teddy and Louie for crossing him... Franklin stayed true to his mission. Cissy and everybody else kept flip flopping on what they wanted to do and how they felt... sissy wanted to feel a tone and be a martyr and selfishly put her son back at square zero again... Franklin was going to get his money get out of the game like he intended and focus on his real estate developments... he wasn't being greedy for money , he was staying true to his end goal plan.. yeah this is long but it's just irritating keep hearing the narrative that Franklin was greedy over money because people are just surface-level thinking and following popular opinion.

Most of that may be true but he still got what he deserved...He made his fortune off the backs of his ppl the very same ppl he claimed he wanted to help but instead destroyed it...Kevin may have been an accident but Mels father wasnt....what about the other's he's killed? Franklin was a monster in the end a shell of his former self even before Teddy took the money...that why everyone was already turning on him and deep down he knew it too which is why he had that attack of conscience at the wedding...yet STILL did nothing to change it he went full throttle down that destructive path to the point he was willing to kill his bff (the only 1 1 left in his corner) and rob him

And again to not to justify it but you have to think ,crack was in its infancy back then ...We're looking at it in hindsight and are judging with our eyes from today... There were drugs wayyy before crack so those guys in the 80s thought it was just another drug that they could make some money off of like everyone else was already doing *not saying it was right*.

Pharmaceuticals are both bad/good... thats a bad comparison because although they are basically dealers for the most part its legal and their are actual benificial drugs out their thats more of a double edged sword....Who benifits from crack....besides the ones dealing it? IDC what they initially thought because that was deaded pretty quickly....Yea their were other drugs before but bp had lack of access until they found ways to cut it and make it more affordable... theres a reason why the crack epidemic was so devastating to the black community and it was done on purpose...Franklin was so addicted to the money and power he acted like he didnt see it always talking about kissing the white mans ass was a no go for him thats how he justified not doing things right...Yet was that not what he was donig with Teddy? This white man comes out of nowhere offers you everythin g you hearts desire at your ppls expense....as long as he did what Teddy (the white man) wanted him to do... and the second Saint wanted off the plantation what did he do? Teddy CLEANED HIM OUT!!! Why? Because in Teddy eyes it was NEVER HIS MONEY Franklin only had what Teddy ALLOWED him to have...and when he decided he didnt want him to have it anymore he took it all back in one swoop which is why I was FLOORED that Franklin really thought that man would give him that money back Teddy was NOT giving that money back and even if he did he was going to hunt him DOWN and anyone he cared about including his son....and not only was he willing to take that risk...but he was willing to settle for HALF OF HIS MONEY HE WORKED FOR UPON TEDDYS REQUEST...Franklin in the end when it was all said and done was a fiend no different than his customers except it was money and not roc...In the last episode we literally watched Saint go through withdrawal and the foul things he did in order to get his next hit ... and when it was gone gone he folded like origami. Hello all I watched the entire series & it’s truly a travesty and racist how they ended the series with Franklin being a bum; with all the EP’s involved in the show & they selected for Franklin to end up a bum/alcoholic. It’s profound they the show & tv network did not want the “black man” win! That was for us - the black viewers to make a racist point. Franklin, was & display he was highly articulate that he was able to beat strategically every person & entity he came across. That includes the LA police; L A court system; L A city hall; the old Jewish former agent; Mexican mafias; KGB & CIA & also, in a episode they shown Franklin FLYING a jet himself. And the “best” recourse was for Franklin to loose his “self will”. That logically do not make ANY sense. So, once again it was a subliminal display of the “white man” beating the “black man”. The show could of ended the series with Franklin selling all his commercial properties & receiving half of the $76 million & take his family and relocate with Leon to Africa. WALK AWAY IN THE SUNSET & wON! By ending the show that way it would continue to display Franklin’s self discipline & fortitude.

I recently binged watched all 6 seasons for the first time in about 2-3 months. I was hooked from the jump. Very raw commentary about the crack epidemic and life in the 80's. Sad to see Franklin lose his ways over the course of 6 seasons. If you watch the pilot episode and then watch the series finale, there is not a single part of Franklin from the pilot still left inside of him at the conclusion. To bite off of A Bronx Tale- "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent" and Franklin was living proof of that. Too smart for his own good and in the end, he fell victim to a disease that he managed to avoid for the first 20 something years of his life. Jeromes death probably hit me harder than any other death in the entire series. That was gut wrenching to see him come back to save his woman and go out like that. Like you guys stated, nobody in the show had clean hands. They all benefited in one way or another from the drugs that they pumped into the community whether directly or indirectly. Good conversation about the show guys. Keep up the good work.

First off, Teddy was never gonna give Franklin the money and live carefree, it wouldn’t matter if Teddy gave the password before he got shot or if he would let off the hook, Teddy is a supreme liar and would’ve eventually come for Franklin, so overall Cissy did the right thing sacrificing her freedom to make sure Teddy didn’t retaliate. Secondly, Leon did the right thing not giving Franklin any cash, considering that franklin mind wasn’t in the right headspace, therefore, giving a small piece of cash would’ve made him come back for more, no different than a crackhead. And third, Louie been shown red flags earlier in the seasons of snowfall, asking Jerome the combination, and if Jerome would’ve cut louie off a long time, he would still be alive. She gotten greedy and betrayed Franklin when she of all people could’ve helped him when Teddy stole franklin’s money, so she deserves everything she gets. Lastly, the dumbest thing Franklin ever did was associate with Teddy, the same man who kidnapped you and all of a sudden doing business with, and on top of that, opening a bank account with someone you don’t even know, if you gonna open the bank account with anyone, at least open it with your loved ones such as Cissy or Uncle Jerome. Eventually, betrayal, money and pride became Franklin’s downfall. It’s poetic justice ending because Franklin became who/what he hated, he became alton by “Being my own man”, Alton even said that in the first season.

Love y’all opinions but I see things a little differently. Frank always wanted more financially and it never changed in fact he became a heartless monster because of it that took over his world like most kingpin stories from the movies etc. only difference is he got a realistic outcome that was worse than death or jail because he gotta live with all the death, understanding that wealth was never his, he lost his family and friends over it and that’s why he’s a drunk. He’s free from the dance of the CIA but mentally he’s a depressed drunk. Jerome might have got it the worse because multiple times in the show he tried to take his soon to be wife out the game so they could get out and that decision not to cost him his life cuz he loved her too much. Louie much like Franklin let greed and wanting to be respected get to her, from Claudia to the dealings with men who would only talk to Rome. She got too greedy and now gotta live life on the run and has a hand in killing the person who always had her best interest. Leon is the only one who really got out the game cuz of the character arc cuz he was the street guy way before frank and all his demons taught him to get out while he could. If he would have gave frank any large money ,frank would have blown it, he was already losin his mind he would have got himself killed or locked up. Y’all gotta remember how much frank used them especially Leon only for his own benefit.leon even offered him a job or an opt to get his mama house back but frank accepts his fate after all the dirt. Leon ain’t an angel but he lives with killing that little girl and having a hand in destroying his community. But now he’s tryna have a hand in changing it. That’s why I think he had the best arc cuz characters like his usually just get killed. He had the best story imo and it’s just as realistic as franks. Teddy was pimpin the black community for the drug money to fund the war and get back in good graces, which he probably wasn’t gonna get just like frank wasn’t getting that money freddy played his hand when he took it in the first place. Teddys character is just a representation of the gov using and destroying black communities. Cissy was also in love with a former panther so she never trusted the white man and even told frank just like Alton that this man will get rid of you when he’s done with you and they were both right. Cissy just wanted the cycle done with the white man and her fam. Frank ended up a drunk because like the him vs him scene at the wedding he always saw himself as a problem solver and not the problem.

And I’m sure he would have gave Frank some money but Frank being out his mind asked for all of it and promised he could get it back and at that moment he couldn’t. And that’s the realness of a character like Leon who wants to change it was hard for him to break that habit of wanting to be a dealer or someone who was gonna change things, just like Frank couldn’t shake the fact of being so greedy. He had hella opportunities to take something and go but he was so sprung on that money that he fell from grace because of it. He was lost and couldn’t see it and imo him and Louie got it the worse because of it. But I see where you’re coming from.

The moral to the story is that if you let power and greed get out of hand it'll destroy you. Leon could have helped him but he didn't want to give a metaphorical rock and feed his power and greed addiction. I totally agree. I think a lot of viewers missed that Franklin was having a major mental health battle by the end of the show. Franklin's delusions and irrationality precipitated every bad thing that happened to him at the end. Veronique had to take Franklin's money to save herself and their baby from the absolutely stupid business move Franklin was about to make. Cissy was talking, but Franklin was unable to hear the truth of what she was telling him at the warehouse. Teddy should never have been allowed to leave that warehouse alive. Franklin pulled a gun on Leon and begged his mother for the deed to her house when Franklin still had the Spring Street property to sell, from which Franklin could have recouped at least some of the millions he had invested. When Veronique left, and Franklin still refused to sell the Spring Street property, going on to lose it to foreclosure only a few months later, I knew there was nothing anyone could do for him.

But if you think about it, Franklin’s true addiction was money and if he had the money there’s no way that it would’ve ended well for him. He would’ve found himself maybe right back to where he started. Y’all can say that he was out of the game and would not, but we don’t truly know where he would’ve done with all that money if he actually had it. Once he turned his back on his mom for the money, she realize how far gone he was because Franklin has always kept his mother on his side. so when she saw that he was choosing money over their relationship, she knew it was over so she did what she had to do to make sure that he wouldn’t be able to fulfill his addiction.

She told her momma that Franklin never left her alone, he never put his hands on her and he always put her first Franklin did all 3 things when he left her alone and she couldn't get in contact with him (keep in mind a few days had passed she even said "it's been 3 days", for all she knew he was dead). He put the money before her and then he put his hands on her so she did what she did. Second thing when it comes to his mother she was absolutely correct in killing Teddy when she did. If y'all thought for 1 minute that Teddy was giving Franklin any of that money and/or was going to let him live to enjoy... Y'all higher then peaches was...Sissy knew Franklin was the devil and didn't deserve that money. At the end Leon showed that he could change, Sissy showed remorse for the role she played everyone except Franklin realized the error in their ways. In life none of us are perfect we are going to make mistakes some big some small but it's about learning and growth. A part of that being mature enough to pay for our mistakes. Everyone was willing to do that except Franklin which is why he ended up exactly like his father which for him is a fate worse then death or jail.

That would have been a full circle ending for his character. They want to portray that Pride comes before a fall. The ending was about is Pride otherwise he wouldn't have lost his spirit. "Love's gonna get you killed. But Prides gonna be the death of you..." I don't buy the line about "I'm free of it all." He could have went to Africa and been free with Leon...I hate this ending for Franklin Saint

You get it! He was too sharp to go out like that. Typically, when one door closes for people like Franklin, they find a new path. Him giving up didn't seem like something he'd do. He looked down on people like that. There was no way he'd become one, although it could happen.

@@basementprotagonists747 well Franklin wouldn’t of lived to spend or invest that money, if he would’ve let Teddy walk franklin would’ve ended up like his father. Plus if you remember Teddy already gave the money to his girlfriend which he already gave access to the money so he already told his girl if he gets killed then take the money and teddy already accepted the risk. She told Franklin to go ahead and kill him and the agent in the other room and just walk away from that situation because it wouldn’t of just ended there, if he would’ve killed them 2 agents nobody would’ve been able to identify Franklin anyway. Teddy is a psychopathic killer, he was playing him just like he was playing his mother about his father being still alive. Franklin just didn’t know when to quit or just start over which proves he was in reality the weakest character in the show.

Veronique was fake and an opportunist too... We never seen her with Franklin before he had money to know that she was with him and had his back just because she loved him. She popped up the beginning of season 5 outta nowhere... we didn't see her there to help him rehab after he got shot and he wasn't runnin shyt at the time. She wasn't there tobtest her so-called love and downess when he was goin to war with skully then Manboy and Kadeja when the risk maybe wasn't worththe reward to be with him ..We saw her after he was flying planes , getting chauffeured around in a limo and wearing suits and at kingpin status... it was all about that money that's why she was down to help him and maintain his books by any means. Yeah she handled his business with his properties and investments but that wasn't nothin he couldn't do, he was very intelligent and making deals on properties his self. It just made sense for her to do it since he couldn't do everything as far as when a drug operation and try to do that with real estate at the same time by himself . I mean it wasn't like she was a trophy wife she had to pull her weight and do something to justify him being with her (imo)when he could have damn near any woman he wanted. Yeah they were partners because she was his woman and pulling her weight but not in the sense of she was an investor with him... She had no moral Compass when she was getting shot at by Kane and his ppl, she didn't feel it was time to go when she helped lure teddy's dad out and kïlld him in front of her and her mom and set the place on 🔥 It wasn't too much and time to go when it started hitting close to home and Jerome got killed and Louie almost got sex**** assaulted and beat up. Wasn't time to go when the family was goin to war and by you being Franklins girl you were a target too... It wasn't too far when she suggested torture for Teddy because he wasn't cracking , and even provided Franklin cooking oil to torture Teddy. but soon as he checks her (because thats all that that was)for going behind his back about money after he's been burnt by Teddy initially, then by his mother, not to mention peaches ,she already be aware Franklins on the edge and his trust level pertaining to his money is at an all time low. But him putting a hand around your neck (at a time when he's highly stressed and hes never displayed violence towards you) that's when she conveniently says this is enough and that reason enough to clean him out after everything you've seen him go through. She didn't leave him anything just how Teddy did.. okay he put his hands around your neck you have the right to leave if thats how u feel but taking all the money ,nah."You don't get ah nigga back like that" - Jay Z .. She just showed what she was really all about and who she really was and how much he really meant to her. She was a thief when he met her and she left a scandalous thief, " You was who you was before you got here" - Jay -Z

If Veronique was just about the money, she would have never come back after Franklin put her on a plane to Miami with nearly $2 million in cash at the beginning of season 6. Franklin was delusional and acting about half crazy when Veronique took that $800k and left. She had to, to save herself and their baby from the stupid business move Franklin was about to make with that money. Veronique did not leave Franklin with nothing. Franklin still had the Spring Street property to sell, and even selling it at a loss to Mr. Davis, Franklin could have recouped some of the millions he had invested.
@8macvar
@8macvar Жыл бұрын
@Tes7000 what's 2million to 73million plus all those properties they had... shit wasn't that bad yet to up and leave... Taking 800k and leaving him with a few thousand is just enough to get by...it ain't about what she left... the reality of her doing that especially at that time for him was demoralizing and was the nail in the coffin... that made her the 4th person that took his money... I count cissy as a person that took his money also by that selfish emotional decision she made right before teddy was gonna say the password

@@8macvar I feel you. $2 million is not much compared to $73 million, but $2 million is a hell of a lot more than the $12,000 Franklin found in Peaches' safe and the $20 Franklin bummed off Leon at the end. Ironically, Franklin got the text from his investigator seconds after getting off the phone with the bank officer letting Franklin know the foreclosure was imminent, so Franklin was hoping to recover some of his money from a crackhead probably the exact same day Franklin let himself lose a property with millions in equity. Franklin handed out plenty of L's while he was on top, but he couldn't take his own at the end. You are correct that Franklin was dealing with multiple compounded traumas at the end, but that was part of the game. As a result getting screwed back-to-back-to-back by Peaches, Teddy, Louie, and Cissy, Franklin had become delusional to the point where he could not be reasoned with. In season 4, Franklin had years of experience with Teddy and knew what kind of person he was, suspected Teddy had killed his father, and saw what Teddy did to Grady. After they got hit by Kane's crew, Teddy hit the roof about the Spring Street project and demanded that Franklin pull out. Franklin failed to heed every warning and really thought he and his money were safe from Teddy and the CIA. Veronique didn't make the same mistake as Franklin. Franklin had told her to her face that he was going to invest the entire $800k in the Spring Street property, which Franklin lost only three months later because he wouldn't sell. Veronique would have been the biggest fool ever to allow herself and their baby to end up on Skid Row with Franklin. It sucked for Franklin, but she had no choice. Franklin told Veronique that he was delusional and psychotic, and she believed him and governed herself accordingly. If Veronique had let Franklin put that $800k in the Spring Street property, she would have been powerless to do anything but be broke and watch Franklin eventually lose the property to foreclosure.

He got what he deserved. He was selfish and didn't care about anyone but himself. Not to mention, he seemed to think that he built it all himself. Yes, he got the connect and he got everything started but Jerome, Lee and Louie did all of the leg work and they took most of the risk, especially Lee. Cissy did not betray Franklin. Cissy knew that had Franklin got that money, there would be more death and destruction because Franklin was never going to stop. He had every opportunity to get out of the drug business, which is what she wanted from the beginning. That's why she got him into real-estate. She was trying to give him a way out but he wouldn't take it. Just like Teddy, it was never going to be enough so she put an end to it for him. Lee knew why Cissy did what she did and he was not going to let her imprisonment be in vain. Veronique was trying to help Franklin salvage what he had left. She was not trying to go behind his back and sell his company and keep the money. Since Veronique is more business savvy, she was just trying to give him other options by speaking with Paul Davis about his stake in the development but Franklin over reacted because he was drunk and losing his mind.

Your forgetting Franklin did give up the game after Louie and Jerome betrayed him. The last season was him trying to get his money back and leave the game. How many times did he have to fix a situation or be the voice of reason? His girl was trifling for what she did. Because he falls on hard times. Wipe him out and steal his child away?
