My husband & I love audible a lot, he more than I. He’s retired & on his second career as a rural postal carrier. His mind is absorbing all the books we love, while his hands sort & process. His former job was more mentally intense & without audible in his ear his current job would be made more difficult by boredom. I enjoy audible too but have more background distractions at home, tv, iPad … the reader does make an enormous difference, we have found our favorites, they become the character, continuing character & which ones to avoid that don’t seem to get the story themselves. But if you hand & eyes need to do other things, audible is excellent brain food. - great card 😊

I listen to audiobooks a lot with Audible. Listen to 2-3 before you decide for sure because it took me a minute to get used to audiobooks too. However, now I love it. I can still enjoy my books while crafting, cleaning, cooking, driving, whatever. Wonderful cards in this video!

Love the tree and the adorable snowman and I agree - these wouldn’t be my “mass Christmas cards” lots to be done! I love listening to audio books and use “Libby” it’s from my local library, no cost. You check out books for typically 21 days which seems to be plenty - plus it’s fun to try different types of books - often times I ask for library recommendations and get amazing books. Often times I get turned on to new authors I’d never heard of. Love that I can craft while listening to a book! It’s the best!!! Love it for long drives too…..thanks as always, I always learn something new!!!

Beautiful cards, as always. Been an Audible member since 2011, got well over a 1000 books in my library. Due to budget I listen again and again. Others have commented on getting the right narrator and no music! so irritating. I can't remember when I last picked up a book, I watch KZbin when I'm in bed, especially if you've done a video😂 breakfast, coffee and Kelly🎉🎉

I love Audible and have used it now for many years. I still like a physical book, but, when we travel, or when I just want to rest, or when I have to go into Reno to shop (which is an hour drive), I listen to Audible.

I listen to Audible audio books all the time. I listen while driving, but since I partially retired, I don't drive much. I listen with housework and cooking - but especially when I'm sewing or making cards! Search by the authors that you know you like. Make sure that the narrator is good for you, meaning that some voice pitches bother me, or there's music through it. Not often with the music in a book, but I don't care for it. You can listen to a sample before you buy. If you do subscribe, you get the "plus" section where you can get books for no extra cost. I've listened to hundreds of them over the years. It's my one indulgence (OK, one of them). But much less expensive than when I used to rent them from the book store. Man, am I aging myself tonight!! Great card as usual - love your videos.

Love the cards, Kelly. Both of my daughters are readers and in their early 20s and they both prefer to hold an actual book in their hands rather than use an e-reader. I know so many people - of all ages - who prefer actual books.

I’m on the fence with audio books. I like to read but I’ve moved to a Kindle. It’s nice to hold something light because I have pretty bad arthritis. Plus you can download a book right away. My son said the audio books are great but I haven’t done it yet. Keep us posted on how you like them

LOVE the cards... the snowman and the penguin stamps sets are going on my wishlist. I love to read and was getting headaches due to eyestrain, so I switched to audiobooks a few years ago. It was weird at first, but I got used to it and now I listen at 1.5x. I have been w/Audible for several years, but haven't been using as much lately, because I found Hoopla (free library ebooks and audiobooks). Our library gives us 20 free borrows a month. I just finished and loved "the Assistant to the Villain" series by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. Another fun series is "Knitting in the City" by Penny Reid. Your library may have the series in Hoopla, mine only has the ebooks, but Audible has all the audiobooks in the series.

I LOVE reading as well…and I never thought I’d enjoy a digital book. However, I get SO much more in reading on my phone! I can read in bed w/o keeping my husband up, in line somewhere, etc. Also, a great reader MAKES the book. And likewise a poor reader can ruin it. Check out free libraries online. Start with your own library, but several cities allow anyone to join - Houston for example. The only problem is it can be a very long wait for popular books. I listen to books when I drive, when I walk or workout, when I craft, when I garden and especially when I’m falling asleep (set a timer). Even when I’m grocery shopping.

Use your library for free! Libby, Hoopla combine with your library and you can access titles free! Speed up the narrator I go between 1.25 and 1.5 times faster and I really enjoy crafting and book reading at once. Audible is too rich for my wallet. Happy reading! Cute snowmen card!
