2020 Yamaha Viper

Great blue and orange combo, in fact I purchased the 2020 Sidewinder LE over the SE simply for the colour alone. Loved the IQ shock package but the baby blue didn't work for me.

I love these vipers but it’s so damn hard to justify a new sled when I can barely get 2-4 rides in every winter in southern Ontario.

I wonder what the horsepower would be if they put a non turbo Sidewinder motor in the Viper, it needs another 20 hp

I think the 998 nonboosted puts out 160ish, they use it in the apex. I'm pretty sure the 1049 is closer to 135. So you'd get a solid boost in power.

@@MikeMalkowski the motor in apex is 4cylinder genesys 998cc, the 998cc motor that the sidewinder uses is a 3cylinder and it was built for the turbo from the beginning and it was made for the sidewinder

@@MikeMalkowski you can tell the difference by sound and handling, the apex genesys 998 4cylinder revs out more, has more high end pull and has a screaming sound where as the sidewinder doesnt rev as much and with the turbo has more lower end torque

The viper is priced too high. $15,600 Canadian, that's 850 etec territory

NORTHERN Toyota be a pretty basic 850 for that. Renegade X 850 is about $17,000 for a 2020

Not sure what he’s taking about, my viper literally eats 600’s. WAY more power, comparable to a 700 2 stroke
