74941 is a lifesaver in the early game. It can pull any weight on any terrain without a problem. It has a nice fuel capacity and I scouted the whole Russian map with it. Speed and lack of chained tires are the only downsides of it.

I think the 74760 is more made for forests. That's why it has the sloped bumper, to help it get over things like trees and rocks, but suffers a lot in mud and swamp for it. I think, anyway, i might be wrong.

Sounds logical but there is no reason it should be worse than a lower level truck. The 74760 should be an upgrade over the 74941 i mean you need to get to level 22 to be able to buy it! Surely the bumper is bugged on this model, i refuse to believe the low level truck is intentionally better.

I have the 74760, and it's just as good in mud and swamp as the 74941. It's also got the same ground clearance (under the frame, not the hood/cab), and that doesn't apply very much in mud nor swamps. Though when I tested both, the 74760 took less overall damage than the 74941 (rocks, frame hitting the ground and others) and seems to be more powerful, Again, that's my opinion (I like 74760 more than 74941)

I think you should redo the TUZ420 vs YAR. You put them both in low for mud, but the TUZ is slower in low than the YAR. If you put the TUZ in auto for all of the mud contests, the TUZ would destroy the YAR every single time.

74941 easy win. That extra ground clearance makes all the difference. It'll get you pretty much anywhere in this game. Just gonna be slow. But slow moving is better than not moving. But we need more heavy trailers. Both for missions and personal use to utilize these heavy trucks more. Need a heavy flatbed for these with 6-8 cargo slots or the ability to strap our own trucks to the heavy duty low boy trailer to transport them to areas all at once

Totally agree, more heavy trailers, the flatbeds should work too like come down to winch on vehicles and ability to secure vehicles. Also the 941s paint mask is glitched but it's not as bad as the bumper that catches on every big bump on the larger 760.

74941 also has more ground clearance underneath look for yourself, therefore doesn't take engine damage as often going down from slopes and over rocks etc. Throw the highway gear on it for a bit of a boost to speed, it will make up for the slower pace over road by plowing through rough terrain and mud much faster. It's also very stable with low center of gravity. Great truck if it can haul what you need in a trailer or high hitch. Perfect for pulling stuck or flipped trucks. Only downside is slightly less fuel but nbd they both have big tanks.

It's not the bumper on the 760 that's the problem, it's the undercarriage. If you look at it in the preview of the store the is below the wheel rims while on the 941 it's closer to the wheel hub for height. I've got the 941 and was thinking of getting the 760 when I get to level 22 as I like it's looks more, but that sort of changed my mind and this video sealed it. I do like that the 760 smokes a lot less. The cloud that the 941 puts out is ridiculous and makes it hard to see ahead of the truck sometimes.

The 74760 has some weird issues with ground clearance, even more so than his bumper would suggest. Occasionally, especially on offroad terrain where you would drive in high gear, it just nosedives into the dirt grinding to a sudden halt. I think we have seen that very issue with the dirt mound test here.

I had the same issue with the ZiKZ 5368. It is one of the smaller offroad cab over trucks. It was a fun little truck to mess around with, but it loves randomly nose diving into mud and dirt and causing huge damage to itself. Resold it pretty quick

When you run out of vehicles for direct comparisons, you should do a study into vehicles with the High Range Gearbox. Some vehicles get a massive boost from the H gear that seems worthy of future study.

@C-Bomb Your engine needs to be able to run - and stay - in higher rpm's or the engine stalls. You bog down with in High gear if you have a highway gear box because just like in Auto your wheels will dig you into the mud and you need to shift to a Low gear. Not so when you use the Offroad gearbox's High gear. At least that's my experience... the High gear seems to behave differently per gearbox...

One is powered by a Caterpillar engine I think it's the long nose one. The long nose one was made for the Saudi army to pull it's Tanks through the desert, it's the only truck that can pull 2 tanks and another lesser load. The long nose Kolob is better.

Everyone always thinks that I’m stuck when I’m driving the 74941 in mud or snow or weak ice. Like, it’s getting there, don’t you worry, it’s just so slow. Had someone winch to me while I’m crawling through the ice and they got stuck and I literally just kept going the same pace while pulling them out of the water. Things an unstoppable force and an immovable object. Also want to mention that the 74941 is also a literal moving bridge that can just crawl across crevices since the front end hangs out so much it just lands on the other side and slides across.

Was doing this a bit with some friends the other night, pretty surprising sometimes. The winch breaks a lot and is very bouncy that's the main problem. Might work better in mud or something other than dry pavement. In general heavier vehicle wins. These kolob trucks would do very well I suspect.

@SD1ONE inspiration for future test: add-on's weight on vehicles vs handling.= example: 4 hummers (4 colours) -2 with raised suspension 2 stock. each group have one with no add-on's and one with all (roof rack+repair trunk+lights on top) now test test them against each other maybe add a racetrack. doing donuts with all add-on's will likely tip it. personally i prefer the mobility of a hummer with no added weight and stock suspension.

The bigger one is the one I use. It and the x8 trailer. Move most everything I need. I just load them up and take two or more depending on what's needed. The kolob 74941 the front hangs up on things. The other just goes over them.

Imho 747 seems to be better in "light" offroad - dirt, light mud/snow/water. With always on diff and awd it runs faster in this terrain. 749 is better suited to "hard" terrain - deep mud/snow/water. You have to switch on awd and diff and go slowly but more steadily than his bro.

I think Kolob 74760 is better with the newer Multipurpose Gearbox and with active suspension it no longer has issues with too high mud or bumps. It can reach 45kmh on a road while the 74941 is much slower.

It might take a long time to do. But you should do a side by side comparison of all trucks in each class. For example. There are 4 heavy duty trucks. So have all 4 side by side on the screen. I think itd be very beneficial. If you have the time of course!

I was disappointed with the 747, I expected a more powerful 749, but it has serious problems with ground collisions especially in Russia. I prefer slower on road to stuck in mud or crashing into sticks

Eh I always try the azov 40 70 (or whatever it's numbers are) before I breaking out the kolob in terms of heavy vehicles. I just wish it's articulated steering joint was stronger.

i have a theory that while these trucks pull 14ish liters a minute while revving in auto eutral but if you put them in high/low they will pull more fuel beacause ive seen the kolob 74760 pull something like 19.8 litres per minute in a different video i know its just a theory but id like to know the answer to it

Yep thats true, In some situations, my kolob burns that much fuel.

Thats correct. Fuel consumption test is only ideal at no load with that current engine. If you load engine it makes work by harder way and looses efficiency. Then you can see like 19.4l/min even with tayga and fleetstar.

That test 22 cj is just for making it easier to calculate approx. consumption. Also. Full circle is not ideal turning circle test as you could see by half circle how far each vehicle is from starting point and by that how much they need space instead of how quickly they maneuver

I really want to like the Kolob 74760. It looks so much better than the 74941. It probably has more performance than the 74941 but man it gets stuck on everything because of the dumb bumper. Mods fix this problem but I can't use mods in multiplayer. Devs really need to fix this. Edit: It think they did fix it. I dont have any problems with this truck anymore.

Chained tires for snow and ice, mud tires for everything else.

They do have difference, sadly developers are asshats, so they hid most statistics and put these vague terminology words, cause reasons. Google it, someone found in game files the exact numbers for I, II, III types. And the fact is, not always the biggest price = best tire. Hoping for a mod to overhaul UI and to rebalance repair/fuel addons - they make no sense right now.
