I agree too about the interface and button mapping on console. They should have made it so we could map the buttons more similar to SR or MR. It is "A MudRunner Game" after all. Now going back and forth between games I keep pressing the wrong buttons for things.

TBH I don't really care if there will be a year 5 pass. Snowrunner is the game I've played the most since 2020. One of my favorite games ever. But I think there's been enough of it and as it is by the time I get through all the current passes, and also continue to enjoy life outside Snowrunner, it will be 2028. I haven't even gotten Season 13 (or is it 14?) yet.

Same I still haven’t bought year 3 or 4. Between all the mission and task and roll overs I’m good. Iv been playing just as long as you not only that but iv had to restart 3 times from all the bugs and fixes. When I see how much screen time I have on just snow runner alone it’s kinda scary me. Like I don’t have a life beyond snow runner 😂 more less all my other games. How much life iv wasted behind a screen. I loved every minute of it but between being a kid to almost being 30 Id say I have at least a years worth of my sitting in front of my tv with a controller in my hand.

I will continue playing Snowrunner, because it is one of my dearest games. I would really be sad if they (Saber) would stop supporting the game. RoadCraft looks interesting and I'm sure I will test it at some point, but only if I know that Snowrunner will get continued support. It is suprising to hear that they used the new Game Engine in Space Marines 2, too. It looks so good. I really wish, they would use it for a worthy sequel of Snowrunner.

I have over 1800 hours in SnowRunner and would like to keep playing it, as long as it doesn't get lame. Expeditions looks all right but the price is (still) a bit steep, and a little arcade-like. RoadCraft looks awesome so I hope it isn't too expensive.

The think I think is funny is Expeditions just makes me wish some of those features made it to Snowrunner, Like the tire pressure. (unless it is there and I have completely missed it) It was one of the few things I think they should have brought over from Spintires.(a couple of the large trucks had it) As it is actually quite common to have that function even if it is a portable air compressor and you just letting out the air manually. And having the push function with the winch which I really think should make it's way into Snowrunner even if the tire pressure most likely won't. Roadcraft looks interesting. I think it will be fun. I don't think we will see a mass migrations from Snowrunner though. But it really just depends on the game play. As some has said, I still haven't finished Snowrunner so I will still be playing.

@@ATribeCalledCars indeed, Sabre are juggling a lot of balls at the moment and there's more coming from the studio, I really hope they don't stretch too thin. SnowRunner has to be one of my all time favourite games at this point, and I honestly don't thing there's a title out there that offers as much game play and game content as SnowRunner, and with an active player base they could easily adopt an SCS approach to the game, ATS and ETS have been super successful for year due to the continued support and updates, and regular expansions and dlc's through each year. They could even scrap the Annual pass and just say we are gonna drop 2-3 region expansions each year and 2-3 smaller vehicle / addon dlcs. They could retroactively add more modern tasks and features in to old regions, such as crafting, patching some new mission to the old maps to get people jumping back to maps they have "completed", lessening the need to add as many new regions each year. Get that winch mechanic from Expeditions in there too 😉

Honestly I really like Expeditions, it just needs quality of life improvements. The start of the game is just too brutal and it's difficult to feel like you're making any progress until you've unlocked very difficult to find upgrades and very difficult to recover vehicles, both of which you need to pay for after recovering. A new, easier region and an update that allows free acquisition of new trucks/upgrades the first time you use them would go miles. The late game is quite satisfying

I have exactly opposite experience, coming straight from Snowrunner... Expeditions seems too easy and too boring. As new player jumping into the game, never played anything from the series might feel expeditions hard indeed.

Hmmm if they are using the SM2 engine in RoadCraft, does that mean we might finally see some life on the maps? The main selling point of that engine is the ability to have hundreds if not thousands of NPCs on the screen at once. If Saber brought some much needed workers/civilians/random people doing their own thing in the game (maybe even traffic) that would indeed be gamechanging....

I am more interested in Road Craft than Expeditions but I think that Snowrunner is reaching the point of everything that can be done on the current engine has been done. I do think that taking the DLC team and having them instead just take that development cycle to really nail down technical issues on Snowrunner before ending active development on the game would be a good way to end things because the game will continue to be played for likely another decade at least. The next Snowrunner sequel has to use the new engine, bring about tracked vehicles, and have a much more reactive world (roads being rebuilt, signs being removed, maps getting easier to drive through as you progress through them, etc...) at a minimum to make moving over worth it.

What they need to do is add the controllable AI, instead of using other players and you want to play single player that you should be able to just play with AI give them way points of some sort and the truck and let them complete the mission, it would make the replayability better.

While I would`ve prefered roadcraft fo be the sequal to snowrunner, I would be fine with a year 5 pass for snowrunner, knowing that roadcraft is a spinoff. That being said, I have yet to buy year 4, and I am still only on season 5 (year 2), so I`m not exactly hurting for content to play in the game. As for expeditions, I am interested to watch your review, but it`s one I`ve been struggling to enjoy. The controls hurt my brain, and the ui navigation feels so counterintuitive to me, considering the menus and such present themselves vary similarly to snowrunner. Beyond that, the core gameplay hasn`t been doing it for me. I`ve been meaning to give it another shot, but I`ve been waiting for the coop mode to become available on console, and to see of some of the year 1 stuff would start coming out, and make to game more enjoyable

Since Year 2 no one has been able to play co op on Xbox. Why would they care about keeping the game alive when they've been ignoring a third of their player base for 3 years? Why would i feel any urge at all to buy another title from them when they have nothing to ease my fear of buying a digital license to a game they dont care to let me play? Its kind of crazy the fan base this game has now that its IP is owned by Sabre. And even after Sabre destroyed Oovee as a company for continuing to sell the original spin tires after Mud runner was released. For a company that publicly rips off and destroys the lives of small business owners they sure do have a lot of fans. I used to donate to the Spintires demo back when Oovee was developing it. Oovee never announced DLCs or maps because the vehicles and missions were created by the community, not some dope with a 9 to 5 and no aspirations. It makes watching Sabre rip the heart and soul from what was once such a innovative and interesting idea is just so depressing. They got you all ready to buy the same game all over again. None of you care enough that they drip feed you DLC, you pay for it, then they come up with an idea that would actually be good DLC, but instead they sell that as a separate game and you all buy it again for triple what its worth. But wait, "new" game means new DLC to be drip fed, line up boys and girls, or should i say pay up. and the cycle continues as it has since the games release. TLDR ill buy the new one when they give a poop enough to fix the first one that broke 3 years ago.

It is annoying with modern games because the review at launch is only so useful once new stuff is added, tweaked, nerfed or changed. I have more than 700h in snowrunner and this is not the end - i am on phase 9. Expeditions? - I've watched many gameplays and it does not look interesting for me. It has some cool features that i would glad to see in snowrunner - but thats it. Roadcraft looks way more interesting. I hope to see year 5 in snowrunner.

Snowrunner is still great. Sadly I can't play Expeditions due to the controller schemes available and my disabilities. Therefore I am not holding out much hoppe that Roadcraft will be any better in that department. I will wait and see how it turns out before I consider buying it.

@@ATribeCalledCars I can't easily hold down the bumper buttons on the controller due to a neurological condition. In Mudrunner and 1 or 2 of the Snowrunner schemes the clutch is on the right thumbstick which worked great for me. I did contact support when the game came out because I did pre-order it and also left some comments on the Discord. But up to today that still hasn't been fixed.

There must be a continuation of the series, e.g. MudRunner 2 or SnowRunner 2. Let the creators take care of improved vehicle physics and interactions with the surface and the mass of cargo. From the beginning, the assumption of this series was that the title would be a simulator and be demanding. SnowRunner is mainly Arcade, which is an insult to this series. And while I like SnowRunner, it doesn't live up to my expectations like SpinTires or MudRunner. Why do developers divide into 3 groups if, if they joined forces, they could create a title that includes MudRunner, Expeditions and RoadCraft gameplay in one extensive title?

SnowRunner seems to give my PC a hard time, but I think my non-gaming 5950X is partly responsible for the odd stutter and weaker 1% lows. Not ready to jump to AM5 just yet though. Maybe when we get the 5090 GPU!

I play with loseless scaling so I can have a nice smooth experience and it's the only game I use it for
