Great video and happy to see you so excited about the 9R in the Assault. The Assault is so fun, can't imagine how good the 9R will be in it. Looking forward to more content on this sled!

These are priced so high that even the elite can not reach them. When polaris machines run right and are not suffering from some of the inferior components installed in them to make shareholders more profit. They are unreal. Good running well tuned 850 and 650 were impressive. If this is what they say it is then the people that can afford them will be happy.
@MrRicobadass7 күн бұрын
Yea expect they are in the same price range as their competitors and people are still buying the product. Not to mention all of them have their own set of issues too, it’s not captive to Polaris.

Price tag. It's what made me leave the hobby. Owned a doo 850 and I won't spend more than 14k anymore.
@MrRicobadass7 күн бұрын
@@9kalltheway thats fair, but the OP made it sound like its exclusive to polaris. and dont get me wrong im not a "polaris guy" i have an old cat that im holding onto for dear life but all sleds have gotten to be the price of a car. this sled is not "where even the elites cant reach them" we see videos daily of guys on new sleds that arent elites. they just swallowed whatever pill they had to swallow and bought it. they are that price because people ARE willing to pay that money

Would love to try out the 9r some day. Does it corner good with the 1.6? My buddy has an assault with a 2 inch lug and it dont corner very good at all! Not sure why you guys like the brake winning noise so much,i had a polaris and the winning brake noise drove me nuts after awhile. How is the vibration and smoothness of this sled?
@tg0003bpa8 күн бұрын
As a 23 assault boost owner I think the 9R is going to be a funner sled to ride in the trails, it's going to be a bit nimbler but ALOT more responsive! The boost has alot of lag! You litterely have to learn to drive around the lag, anticipating your throttle inputs. That said the assault boost is still a hell of a slead and a real freight train! Where the boost can really shine is if one wants more power! A rune on a boost will het you further then thousands and thousands of dollars on a 9r.... my uneducated opinion!
@codymuncie68754 күн бұрын
I’ve ridden an assault on the trail just not enough grab for me like my xrs. Still a cool sled though. Wish brp offered a larger 2 stroke

They are the worst value in motorsports when you look at the time you can use them. $20,000 to set idle for long periods , no way. If I stay in snowmobiling it will be on 1990s sleds. Plenty of parts available and just as much fun at a lower cost.

Great review. Makes me think Polaris for a purchase. The only brand I haven’t owned despite their factory being the closest to me geographically. I would prob lean to a 137 & boost tho. 1.6 Cobra perfect. AJ makes a great point re: weight/power but the 20+ lbs can sometimes be an asset too. One note if you line them up on an objective lake race….would be cool to throw in the old king, a ‘25 SRX. The SRX will easily win the looks award but is it still king on the lake? I haven’t seen any accurate head to heads with the Doo Competition/SRX/VR1 Boost/T-Cat. Will be interesting in the 998 still has the nackers to run with the newer, boosted 2 Strokes. I know obtaining all the sleds @ once (besides sketchy snow conditions down in ON) is a challenge but would be an awesome vid.

I love the 9R but why does Polaris only offer a 1 year warranty with it when everything else comes with a 3 year warranty? Think about that......... Porsche, Ferrari, etc... don't skimp out on their warranties based on engine choices!
@jonl29388 күн бұрын
I like the idea, but the extra money over the 850 doesn’t make sense to me. $1000CAD to go from 650 to 850 and then $2800 more for a 9R. If you’ve got the money to blow, go for it though!

This is an awesome sled. But how much better than a 2017 Assault 800? In season with 2 year warranty that sled was $12600 out the door (cdn dollars). This 9R is likely $25K out the door (or more). Manufacturers have lost a lot of sales, and I feel it’s only a fraction of what’s to come.
@RARufus7 күн бұрын
Yes the prices have gotten insane. In 5 years, they’ll sell on the used market for a fraction of what they’re going for now. Crazy how much it costs for sledding now.
