the reason she is tame is because she was injured in the wild and cannot be released. She is licensed as an education ambassador to teach audiences how special these birds are to our environment hoping people will be inspired to save habitats and keep wildlife from disappearing.

our birds were all injured in the wild and cannot survive on their own in the wild. By law They either have to be euthanized or kept under our licenses as education ambassadors. They Re all well cared for and are seen by our vets. They live outside in large aviaries and we try to provide some stimulation and we try to give them the best life possible. Many of our birds have injured wings and cannot fly. Any bird who comes in for rehab is evaluated by our vets and we release all birds who can go back to the wild

Ikr? 😏 My dad paints. When I was a little kid, a large painting of an “owl family” hung right outside my room. ..I could see the dang thing from my bed.. Night after night, that painting haunted me with nightmares. It now hangs in my foyer 🤣
