May i ask some question? the ability to distinguish homozygous and heterozygous...Is that happened on agarose gel when perform gel electrophoresis ?

If its PCR followed by gel separation, then the answer is yes. Watch this- Dominant vs co-dominant marker: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZXThouNqdWWna8

Please provide a video how snips is been ised as a marker to detect gene? Or thr protocol please asap.

Hi!! Although, I tried to cover the most possible part for SNPs. Hope the following links may be useful for practical use. sir I am a non genetic audience. Your video is very very useful. In 3.03 you have uploaded a machine what is that and can we detect SNP in normal genetic lab? which is easy whole genome sequencing or SNP I mean in a normal lab?
@XploreBio4 жыл бұрын
WGS is a way for SNP identification. Whole genome sequencing is costly and requires high end sequencers and extensive analysis. This way SNP is costly. For normal labs its better to collaborate for sequencing or computational analysis. Else, use other markers or PCR based or Restriction enzyme based methods for SNP.

Thank you so much for the introduction to SNP, so helpful. I do not really get how to use markers. Like a have a potatoes (10 cultivars) and I want to specify the gene that controlling a violet colour in flesh. So I use the SNPs and detect whose genes with SNP but how it is supposed to help with my object? Like the SNPs could be in any place in DNA and can be in different loci and how am I going to understand by whose SNP on which gene I look?
