0:15 THIS QUOTE IS SO FUNNY TO ME BECAUSE LIKE- Nothing about the “I think about you all the time” was weird or romantic or in possession of any other traits you’d want to cover up. Like, if he said, “I talk to piles of snow and pretend it’s you,” that would be weird, or “I spend half my time pinning over you”, that’d be clearly gay. But like, just thinking about your best friend a lot ISNT weird OR romantic, especially when your away from them for a long time. But the thing is. Snufkin damn well KNOWS what it really means. He knows that the context is very much romantic. So he tries to back track to something that isn’t. Except, in the process, he exposes the meaning of “thinking about you”. And all this combined with the earlier “Yeah I do a lot of thinking up here” “what kind of thinking?“ “*completely drops the subject with no elaboration*”, just makes it so clear that Snufkin spends like, half his time just *yearning* over Moomintroll. Which we already knew but the fact that it’s so CLEAR in the text now is killing me.
