LOL right? It was always the rock anthem first, or the "rebellious youth" song, then came the ballad. About the only band I can think of that broke that was Guns 'n Roses. They managed to get out "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Paradise City" before they released "Sweet Child 'O Mine".

and that´s cringe lol because the song was written for his daughter when she was born. That´s why he´s saying words like you would say to your little girl, like i don´t need to be your superman as long as you´ll be my biggest fan. And as long as I´m the hero of this little girl. What guy says those things to his girlfriend? ;)

Brad and Lex come on man. What he's saying is that their relationship is so beautiful that it has to be close to what heaven's like. Almost like heaven can't be much more beautiful than this. Absolutely yes to what you three said here. Furthermore, there's a "Livin' on a Prayer" message if you listen closely. This is most likely why her friends are skeptical. He's worked in a factory, he's probably still working very hard (comes home late at night) but sadly has no real idea of how to improve their tough life "I've got nowhere left to go, No one really cares, I don't know what to do". Bout time someone does this song, one of the best power ballads of 80s. You actually just did 3 of my top in a row. Brad I always thought he was talking bout daughter too. And I still do, but also his woman. Kinda like he is out on the road all the time, chasing his dream, rock star, fame, screaming fans, and isn’t always home, so imagine the stress it causes in a relationship. So he’s talking with his woman and remembering the past and good things that they have, wrapping it up with none of this fame shit or what fans think of me , means anything, what matters to me is in my daughters eyes. Then pulls it all together with the Heaven chorus. Saying what we have as a family is as close to heaven as you can get. Could be wrong though, it’s one of those songs I think are deeper than just what’s on surface.

Warrant was a quintessential hair band. Something that's rarely given enough credit is the lyrics to a lot of the power ballads from that era. If you listen to them there are great ones in there like this one or "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns and Roses or "Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse. I first heard this song when Warrant was on TV during an intermission of, of all things, Roller Derby.

Jani married the girl in the Cherry Pie video, Bobbi Brown. They had a daughter (Taylar Lane) - she is beautiful you can imagine - She sung her own version of this song. You should take a listen.

They headlined one of the best named tours of alltime…Blood Sweat and Beers…saw it at Great Woods Mansfield MA with Firehouse and Trixter ..in Augist of ‘91 I didn’t know it then but in about a year the glam era would be over and grunge would start to dominate..

These guys mean a lot to me. Jerry Dixon the bass player is a special friend of mine. We go way back and he is a great guy. The affect would have been better if you watched the official video of the band live. It's more 80's. It represents them better. They put on an awesome show with close ups of band members. They have so many good songs. Uncle Tom Cabin, I Saw Red on and on. They still are together today with an awesome lead singer Robert Mason.

Maybe he was on tour and it's almost done and will soon be home. "Get closer to it everyday" and "Heaven" is how he describes being with her. But I have no eye deer, really. It's a pretty song, though.
