Formed in Toronto. Moved to Vancouver. Lead singer Mike Reno is from Metro Vancouver. Managed by Bruce Allen, who manages BTO and Prism. In the late 1970s, Bryan Adams got Bruce Allen to manage him. In 1983, Bryan Adams wrote Jump with Jim Vallance, MR, PD and drummer Matt Frennette. Written by Mike Reno and Paul Dean. Produced by Dean and the late Bruce Fairbairn. Engineered by Bob Rock. Peak Loverboy! 1980. They still perform today. Same lineup but Ken Spinnaeve is on bass guitar. Scott Smith was lost at sea in San Francisco Bay. 😢 KS played in a band with Paul Dean in the early 1970s. That band broke up. KS joined Red Rider, where the lead singer was Tom Cochrane. That way, you get the whole experience. I am all about the lyrics too, but to me, it adds so much more to watch a band play and see what they look like/what they wear. But again, that's just my opinion. Keep on keepin' on. Loverboy was the sh*t back in the early 80's. I highly recommend: Take Me To The Top Lucky Ones Lovin' Every Minute of It P.S.
