It depends on your undertone and depth of colour. My winter skin is pale yellow NC50 can use the dark Mac bronzer. My summer (been lying on a tropical beach for 3 weeks) skin is NW45/47 and can use the Mocha Mami. I go from yellow to red through the seasons. I live in London England UK and I use Barry M., Sleek, Revolution Beauty and B. by Superdrug before Fenty came to our drug store. A few of our fast fashion retail stores have been trying to break into the darker skin market too in recent years: H&M, New look Topshop and Primark. It's not the highest quality but if you combine them with a few makeup techniques and lux brands you can make it work. Kiko Milan and Inglot try too. Sometimes they hit sometimes they miss but that is with most brands. The most luxury brand for black skin is Iman. Pat Mcgrath hasn't been around long enough for options really.

Lip bar bronzers are both amazing, Fabulous brontour by morphe, kovyco, karity have a deep contour kit that have several rich tones, black radiance contour kit, and huda tantour in tan. I know the last 3 are contour kits but they can real bronze and bring warmth back to your face. So yes deeper complexions still have a ways to go.

I bought the NYX California Beaming bronzer in the deepest shade and it’s great on my bare skin but once I have a full face on it just sits on top of my foundation and powder and refuses to blend in . Some of these brands should honestly be ashamed. They make foundations for us but not bronzers? It's as if they only made foundations in our shades because of constant complaints and pressure . Now we have to beg for bronzers and it's exhausting. I personally use the Becca multitasking perfecting powder in deep bronze.

mocha mami is the darkest shade. i get pissed off every time i see that ol' red fenty bronzer lol it is a blush. the sephora makeup artist put in on my face like she did something, i went home looking like a tomato! and what's worse is that i am shade 450 and i doubt it would show up on any shade darker...maybe because i have a reddish undertone i hated the product and was jealous that none of the bronzers worked for me.

OMG girl you are so right! I knew a lot of bronzers were launching but it's not until you really look at them that you realize that alot of noise was made but not alot was SAID if ya know what I mean. I do have two product suggestions if you want to check them out .... Kylie (dont side eye me sis just go with it lol) makes bronzers and the last TWO shades are pretty and do work for deep skin... if ya can stomach it but theh are at Ulta and then the lipbar released several shades of a blush/highlighter bronzer duo that are BEAUTIFUL and I loved supporting them because they are a BOMB. I dont know your skin truly looks in person but another favorite I stole from Jackie Aina is the Milani Earth 5 that is a great color and this last one, I wish you would review because I'm scared to try it but I see it all the time and I'm curious is a Becca multitasker product that's advertised as a foundation powder or bronzer and it has DEEP shades. Danesa Myricks has a powder bronzer that has been on my list to try. She has a deeper complexion and works on a lot of deep skin models so one would hope (but never assume) that her bronzer would work on deep skin tones. It looks dark enough for me online but there are only three shades which’s makes me very hesitant. She does a lot of work with cream products so I could see these being more like setting powders instead of true bronzers. Anyway, she seems pretty amazing and her products are sold in Morphe now so they are getting to be even more accessible.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one that was totally disappointed in that Mented bronzer. Black Radiance has a powder called Black Coffee that is a great choice for bronzer/contour for dark complexions. It's what I use and you and I wear some of the same shades of foundation.

I buy every bronzer for deeper skintones I can find Jouer just released 2 a single one a palette, I bought both of them. Morphe just released a couple of new bronzers I'm about to order those now when I can figure out the colors. I wish Fenty and Too faced would release some deeper shades. Hey girl. Thanks for this content!! Can you do blush next? I'm going to try benefits hoola bronzer!!! Fenty's mocha Mami is the deepest color. I love the formula and packaging however, it's to red. I love it for eye shadow but not for a bronzer. I heard the Sephora collection has a good one in ibiza( I may have butchered that) at a great price point. NARS also has a deeper shade I'm not sure of the name. I also really want to try mented!! In yatch life. Hopefully it's dark enough. I have a feeling it may not be its giving me coco naughty by fenty vibes. Those may be ok for fall/ winter as its much more subtle/ cooler, and I believe that the second to last shade so their is a darker option. I also want to try lip bar period. For now I'm using the bronzer that comes in the beauty bakery brownie bar. I actually really like it!! I love bronzer I still don't think its needed. But it does add color warmth and demention. These brands definitely need to be more inclusive and broaden the range. Thanks to the ones that have!! We/ brands have truely come a long way.

I love the effect of bronzers but it’s so frustrating when so many people who are lighter than me have ten times more options than I do. I’m grateful for the brands creating deeper bronzers for us but the older brands that make bronzers suitable for lighter skin tones also need to step it up

I've become a mixologist to be honest. I have a bb cream that is too light and a cc cream that is too dark so I mix them both. Try to blend both black radiance ones on the back of your hand to see if you can customise it to your colour and then check it is bright daylight in the sun before attempting on your face. Remember a big fluffy brush is the best bronzing brush. Not a blush or contour brush. A little smaller than a powder brush. Sponges are good for blending but for me not precise light application. Nobody trying to look muddy, streaky or red with bronzer.

Prime beauty is the only bronzer I can work with, chocolate litty is too deep but bronzeville isn't deep enough, Fenty Mocha Miami was way too red, just blended into my skin

My thing about collabs is that people are partnering with you to make money. It just makes sense to make something you can wear but also fills a niche that’s been lacking. That way you can come back with numbers and insight and it drives up demand to partner with YOU. It’s a business decision. anybody can make a palette online or in a zpalette , like no brand is just trying to have a 5k product inventory of a palette that just works for you.

I swatched the Fenty bronzers in Boots. ( I live in the UK). I couldn’t believe how red in undertone they were. In the UK the only bronzer of decent quality and colour in my opinion is Bobbi Brown Deep 4 and the bronzer in Cover FX Face Palette Medium/Deep. Benefits Toasted I haven’t tried yet, so I won’t rule them out yet.

Where did you swatch cover FX? I need to swatch before buying. I go red in undertone with my real tropical back 3 week holiday tan. so my natural bronze does official have red in it even though I'm yellow for most of the year. Depends on preference and I use a big fluffy brush for bronzer. Smaller than a powder brush but bigger than a contour or blush brush.

I’m kinda shocked you didn’t mention the lip bar! They have 5 bronzers and not only is my color not the darkest (I’m nc44) but there’s 3 deeper than me. They pull more matte than they look and I love mine.
