also, typhon's fang passive and anubis' passive aren't exactly neither healing increases nor lifesteal increases, they're lifesteal healing increases, which would be above lifesteal itself when doing the maths, but below the regular healing increases. That's why they allow to break the lifesteal cap, but the percentage increased from those passives is still decreased by the antiheal. It's weird and complicated, idk if I explained it well. But anyway, it's counterable yet annoying.

When life steal is buffed the extra hits you can take often makes these mandatory. It starts letting you hit enemies, fights which result in less the death are pointless, and it just gets worse. As is, I felt it was in a good place, but making it better in anyway has a long term side effect of becoming mandatory. The exception is Gods who get 1-shot.

Honestly I understand antiheal is a bit too strong currently.. namely divine ruin. And I don’t think a healer should have all their healing reduced. And I think that counter building should always be a thing. There is no real way to “counter antiheal” besides not getting hit or staying away from the tanks. I know that many will disagree though. I honestly think there should be more of a antiheal cap or diminishing more returns. No I don’t main healers either. None of a gods kit should be rendered mostly irrelevant even through counterbuilding. If they get too strong through the “heal boost” of these 2 items they could reduce their stats so they are slightly better than 40% antiheal items.

Antiheal limits your early build choices because if you don't rush it then healing is incredibly abusive. If you choose to go for a stacking build or want to get crusher then you're throwing because an Aphro or Cama or even a Sol will get free reign to do what they like.

I wouldn't mind HiRez "buffing" Healing if they also buffed Anti-Heal characters. Cerberus is pretty good, but his passive is not consistent anti-heal and he has to build anti heal plus his passive like everybody else. Sobek has to get close enough to apply his, so does Bacchus but they work well enough. And Ah Puch is dying at the bottom of everybody's tierlists.

it's really not hard to have 105% antiheal in most teams tho. Divine ruin, brawler's beatstick and contagion/pestilence are very viable items, so this buff actually kinda makes sense. You can still have all that and heal for 0 if the enemy team really wants to, and it would still be viable overall. and I'm also saying this cuz ankh is a thing, and there are way more healing reductions abilities in smite than there are healing amplifying items:medusa, sobek, bacchus, serqet, odin, osiris, chang'e and ah puch with the built-in 100% antiheal, he would counter anubis in mid. And those are only the ones I remember. So this isn't a buff just to healers or self healers, it's also a buff in viability to all those gods, especially ah puch.

@@juliantorres7896 -Stone of Gaia -Mail of Renewal/Cad. Shield (only do Cad. Shield if you have a healer since Cu Chulainn can't proc it himself to my knowledge) -Gladiator's Shield -Hide of the Nemean Lion -Genji's Guard -And either The Sledge if you want more power procs off of Glad Shield, or some sort of lifesteal item for more sustain (I typically go Soul Eater but Bloodforge can be fun too). Obviously this isn't a 100% "YOU WILL NEVER DIE EVEN IN A 6V1" build, but the mix of tankiness and auras makes it work pretty well. Cad. Shield procs really well with a Ra on your team, but Mail of Renewal works pretty well overall so long as you play it right and get the healing proc off kills and assists.

I think it would have been more interesting to see what Tahuti would have done because, realistically speaking, Tahuti is a much better item than asclepius on every single aspect: at max Asclepius will give you +15% healing whereas Tahuti gives you a 25% bonus when your target is below 50%, and then there's the huge boost of raw DPS as well with tahuti that you'll never get with asclepius. I think with that new healing mecanic Tahuti is much better than the other one. Could be wrong though I have not checked for myself.

Tahuti effectively reduces the max health of your healing target being the reduced healing over 50% health. You're healing for 15% less then the other, which leaves you exposed to power builds. The exception is that you have a bigger window to get people out of execute range. Tahuti healing twice gives you 225% healing. Asclepius gives you 230% healing.

I would definitely recommend building Bancrofts, Shoes of the Magi and Typhon's Fang at some point. You also might want some flat pen like Divine Ruin or Spear of the Magus. If the game goes long enough, Soul Gem may actually be viable after that, especially if a teammate builds Caduceus Shield!

One quick comment, Im not following the example you gave for the hebo 3. For intstance, when you add ascplepius to the build it should raise the damage to about 550, 90 power * 75% scaling + 483? If you have it avalaible, could you post the build you used for hebo? in theory, I can calculate when the anti heal is applied, since you already showed us the order that lifesteal stacks. I would like to know so I understand when its even worth building. IE: if the anti heal truly only applies to the last applied heling effect, say asclepius passive, then it probably isn't even worth building divine since you will only reduce that 25% aura down to 15%. TLDR: if you post the build and level for hebo I can probably calculate exactly when the anti heal gets applied.

Goobs and freya and ao are allready unkillable even with one antiheal item they still heal to much for anyone to box them. You need at least two antiheal items and or upgraded curses. Like these gods have become like loki once was. He required you to build agaimst him and his ult always forces two relics. Same with goobis and the other. They require heavy counterbuilding and relics to deal with them. This is proof enough that they are stronger than most because other gods arent that strong that you have to invest that hard into dealing with them

That is the exact reason they don't do what you're suggesting: Antiheal is in and of itself a strong effect, so pairing it with other potent stats is just asking for trouble. As it stands, Divine Ruin, Toxic Blade, and Beatstick all provide Flat Pen still, making them potent enough, and Shadowsteel comes with 20% crit chance. Those stats make them decent enough damage increases without bloating them

The patch only made Antiheal and healing support affect HP5, Soul Gem, and SoG. The change that made healers strong or not wasn't this patch, but the one where Cursed Ankh had its Antiheal effect halved.

They didn't break it per se, they expanded its effects to include HP5. Before it affected potions, Lifesteal, and item/relic/ability heals only, now affects the only remaining "static method" of healing.
