I'm surprised that KZbin didn't block this as it is pornography for us gun enthusiasts

Quick stopwatch on the video gives 25 cycles in16 1/2 secs giving a rate of just over 5400 per hour!

What an amazing press, but I will say if anything does go wrong it will go wrong in a big way.
@nathanhudelson49353 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome.

how does powder drop that fast without making a mess ?
@saltcreekammo6 жыл бұрын
Luis Saavedra it can't in one drop. The big camdex and ammo loaders sometimes have multiple powder drop stations set to only throw a few grains at a time. This madness is only for quick case prep...
@davidrossman79254 жыл бұрын
I was curious about that too, multiple powder stations makes sense for commercial applications
@21anthem123 жыл бұрын
This is brass prep only. They’re not dropping any powder here.

I've watched a guy and his family pulling 1k +rounds (.223 rem)using a 1050 after experiencing a squib. Not sure what went wrong
@MechInventАй бұрын
Wouldn't you rather just weigh it??
@Shooter7point626 жыл бұрын
How did you achieve such smooth sizing?
@lxstangs7 жыл бұрын
what upgrades do you have on that press, and what dies are on the machine . thanks
@KA0S-247 Жыл бұрын
damn your bottle neck is the brass feeder and the Bullet feeder to that matter... have you thoiught of ways to increase those outputs?
@wjbirm Жыл бұрын
You realize that press is processing ammo, and not loading, right? A bullet feeder is not in play. And we have a collator that will drop 12,000/hr 5.56 rifle brass, or up to 15,000/hr pistol.
@charleshetrick3152 Жыл бұрын
What lube are you using? Presumably you’re leaving the expander ball in the resizing die?
@superman0tohero6 жыл бұрын
Wow how did you get that 1050 to index so smooth?!! I'd pay 💰 for that!!!
@wjbirm6 жыл бұрын
It's all in the tuning. We have plenty of videos relating to tuning a 1050.
@superman0tohero6 жыл бұрын
wjbirm ok thank you I'll be watching all of them. 😁
@jamesowens27816 жыл бұрын
Just subbed can you respond about bulk 300 blk out prepped brass 5K
@beachboardfan95446 жыл бұрын
How does that drive run in one direction? Shouldnt it run one direction till the press stroke maxes out, then reverse direction?
@2004greenjeep6 жыл бұрын
Beach&BoardFan it has a crankshaft like a engine rather then a fixed up/down lever
@LadyHaze906 жыл бұрын
It started to skip one unless that's programmed?
@charleshetrick3152 Жыл бұрын
The shell casings collator couldn’t keep up.
@davedave29414 жыл бұрын
Should stress in your title this is brass prep not full on speed for compete loaded cartridges (primer,powder, bullet seated)
@wjbirm4 жыл бұрын
We would think that people would have enough common sense to realize you cannot drop powder that fast.
@JeffinTD5 жыл бұрын
Wow.
@kevind7166 жыл бұрын
I love it for sure but if something goes wrong it could be trashing 4500 rounds per hour. I don’t see any safety features
@wjbirm6 жыл бұрын
Then you missed not only the mechanical clutch but also the electronic.
@phillyska6 жыл бұрын
Quality of ammo would be absolute garbage at that speed.
@wjbirm6 жыл бұрын
Well, good thing it's not making ammo, but only processing brass.
@charleshetrick3152 Жыл бұрын
Take a look at the whole press, there’s no powder or bullet drop installed. This is just de-cap, and resize. I run a hornady LNL AP and do the same thing. I “roll size” then lube and resize and de-prime. Then clean and tumble then uniform primer pockets only then do I prime powder and bullet and yes at much slower speed. Because the other operations aren’t causing un-due dither are outright failures I crank out much more ammo per hour than if I actually attempted every station occupied operation.
