I once wrote a somewhat interesting (in my opinion) script to this movie, in which Alex is a lonely, stressed, kinda ''loser'' guy who is sucks at building relationships, experiencing feelings and communication. The emojis on his phone sorta hate him because he never send them due to his lack of friends or people to talk to. But one day, Gene, who can't fit in this society where everyone have just one role to play, find a photo about a girl, Alex's crush and make up a plan to bring them together. High Five, who hates that he is never sent and that his life is worthless, goes with him. They start a journey in Alex's phone and find out about his insecurities trough applications (the ''Facebook-shadows'' could drain his confidence with the images of more popular, cooler, perfect people just like real social media often do, the trolls could have roles as lifeless jerks full of hate talking shit about his content in comments, the games he playing with could caused him being bullied). There would be some character development, Gene could find a way he can be himself, High Five could understand his life isn't worthless, they could keep the meh couple and the blue-haired girl, and in the end, Gene the everything-emoji could turn into a gif or something, and send himself to Alex's crush, bringing them together and making Alex to start being more open towards people (Sorry for my bad english, I hope you will understand the comment)
