Art, in general, is a frustrating, time-consuming pain in the tail. Often what you get out of it, unless you are a genuine master of your craft, is infuriatingly poor, despite that effort, compared to the vision in your mind, and attempting to explain this to people invariably results in them simply insisting that you torment yourself too much and being more concerned for your psychological well-being than your skills and abilities. Animation is all this, except notched up to like the mathematical cube in terms of effort required to make it all happen because now you're going from rough kindergarten scribble to pencil to pen to color to shading to IT FRIGGIN MOVES and trust me that's a lot freakin harder than the newspapers in the Harry Potter movies make it look (if only!). Those first five steps are fairly enormous as-is -- I've been drawing since I was seven or eight, I'm now in my mid-30s, and although I never stopped, I also never got to "shading" in any coherent sense of the term -- to the point that I straight-up gave up on "color" because it just didn't feel like flats had any point to them. Animation, though? That's black magic hoodoo wizard land, as far as I'm concerned. Congrats on obtaining the magic wand, Stormi. I look forward to seeing what you do with it :) but remember, good art takes time -- I'll be here, even if it takes ya a Gandalf's age instead of the due date you've set. (I kind of take to the 'Douglas Adams' philosophy about deadlines anyways -- they make a lovely 'whoosh' as they fly by!)
