I could also recommend doing supination and cupping. You could also do this with the weight stack you have, just with a different grip in these straps. For external rotation pain, shoulder dynamic Stretching and facepulls are really good. Furthermore, Combining Backpressure with Sidepressure prevents those disbalances

The ulner forearm pain is something that also happens with heavy bicep lifts. What i woul reccomend is, AND you should do this very light en more reps pls dont go heavy even if you can because the ulner wirst ligaments can get injured thats a major setback. But ok what you should do is ulner deviation. Best with an empty single arm bicep handle if availablem other wise resisitent bands. Second. A lot of slow and light supination. Thos to should solve the problem because massaging wont lol
@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'm gonna give this a go for sure, I do some supination work but I've never done any ulnar deviation. When I was having external rotator pain I did lots of face pulls for a couple of weeks and once it went away it never came back so maybe this could be a similar thing.

@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
No problem, and absolutely it can increase quickly when done the right way. The recovery is basically low weight high rep work usually rising,rolling, cupping and supination typically about 50 reps of each. Just to promote blood flow and actively recover the tendons and muscles used. I did a lot of these singles (for me) per day during this video. Right now I’m doing anywhere from 1-6 of these singles a day and I try to leave at least an hour between them. No warm up just hit it! Hope this helps!

How much did you add to your lifts within this 30 day devon style training? Do you think this type of training is possible to maintain for 3-4 months for a natural athlete? Or is it more suitable to break plateaus, such as main lifts like rising, locked pronation aka devon lift, containment, etc
@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
So I made a video a while before this one trying the lifts and I did kind of a sloppy 84lb pronation and a 66lb rise that took everything I had so I did increase a fair bit. I do think you can sustain this but I think you have to do recovery work everyday as well. I also think I did too many lifts per day for myself during this video and ended up with pain in my forearm. So for me anywhere from 1-6 of the rise and pronation singles per day is plenty for me and I do high cup, low cup, press and grip 1-3 times per day and every time I do those ones is when I do my recovery as well

@mackeystrength

I believe it's up to what your body can handle, I think 3 a day would have you moving along quite nicely, If you can handle more without hurting yourself or dropping form then I think it would be worth it to try. If it starts to feel easy just add a pound and keep making the gradually small jumps I think that's the best way if you are to try this method!

Do you remember me? You told me you do 6 lifts a day. But the comments said you did 12 lifts a day haha

Yes I remember, I said I’m doing 6 now because I don’t feel as beat up and it feels much more sustainable, but yes I was doing around 12 a day during this video

@@mackeystrengthSo how many times do you think it gets stronger? and I have a question 00:25 three key point 1. Never fail 2. ??? 3. ??? What are you saying? I can't hear number two and number three well. I'm not good at English haha.
@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
@@Sanking_7 I think even if you ran through a circuit once a day, so 1 lift of each at about 90% of your max you will get stronger. It's honestly up to how much your body can handle without injuring yourself and keeping good form. Number 2 was grease the groove meaning doing the thing that you want to get better at all the time whenever you can. 3 was just me saying I'm gonna do what Devon does meaning the training style and lifts.

@@mackeystrengthOnce a day?? Haha wouldn't that be too little?
@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
@@Sanking_7 for some people maybe, everyone responds a little differently, but over time if you're consistent I think doing it heavy over the course of months or years I think you could make decent progress although of course more frequency without being counter productive is most likely better

Did you do singles everyday? And how many lifts did you do each day?
@mackeystrength
@mackeystrength 9 ай бұрын
Yep I do them everyday, during this vid I was doing about 12, sometimes a little less. Currently I do anywhere from 1-6 of these along with some other stuff

Very nice lifts, congratulations! However, for me who I've been doing the exact lifts for one entire year, the gains you've had seem a bit suspicious, at least for me. I started with 20 kg for the riser and my max now is 30 kg while on pronation I've started with 30 kg in Dec 2022 and now my max is at around 39 kg's. My frame is 1,80 cm and 85 kg, while my arms measure 34.4 cm on my right forearm and 40 cm in right's bicep's. (left is almost the same). I don't feel weak for my body/strength ratio, is just that I've been having a hard time making good gains from these lifts. You, however, seem to have been doing in one month what I've been trying to do in one year. You either had the power from the start and did the montage for the sake of the video theme (30 days challenge), or my friend, you are an absolute unit that gained around 20% increase in power in only 30 days. 🥲

Thanks! and yea the thing is everyone's body is a little bit different and respond differently to things than others. So for this month I didn't train anything else I would just do these singles, everyday with about 30 mins to an hour between when I was home. Probably came out to about 12 lifts a day maybe less some days, but yea I definitely couldn't do these weights on day 1 haha. The first time I tried these I think I capped out at 84lbs pronation and I did 66lbs rise on the right hand but It took absolutely everything I had to lift. cheers!

i can relate too , i am 15 years old , 178 cm 63 kg stared armwreslting trainning 6 months ago started with 20 kg on pronation now stuck at 28kg and rizer lift was 16 kg now its 22, i don't train regularly as i am involved in other sports activities too but still my lifts progression is slow as compared to him , i am wondering if he is natural as his progression seems unrealistic
