I personally liked the Oinkologne episode in terms of animation since the movement, poses, & character designs all had the same energy as a Studio Trigger series. Also that scene with Quaxly having rizz was great

This portion of the series urked me as I watched it live bc every episode basically amounted to Liko, Roy, and Dot battling- getting their butts kicked- and then having to be saved by Friede and Pikachu. It gets WAY better going forward into the next season and I'm glad this part exists now bc it shows the three's development as trainers

masterpiece of an opening and the episodes at the time amounted to be like 40% filler 40-45 salvaged it easily season 3 was such a relief and especially episode 53 seeing them battle annihilape without aid

Watrell is the worst treated pokemon of all time. When they need a flying Pokemon they forget he existed which is sad as the other second pokemon of the main trio had an episode or two early on. Sure it gets better but it definitely deserved better especially being an electric type. Could have been training with captain more

The first half will be Terastal Debut while the second half will be Rayquaza Rising just like how this season had Liko and Roy Set Off as the first half and The Sparkling of Terapagos as the second! The fifth arc when that starts will be the start of Season 3!

That's the neat thing, I don't. Joking aside, as one of the few people who still watches the dub, it really bothers me how behind Netflix is. I doubt we'll ever get a proper simuldub (most people watch the sub anyway, so there probably isn't enough demand), but I wish they'd at least shorten the gap a little. During the Sun & Moon era, dubbed episodes were typically released 2-4 months after they aired in Japan, but ever since the show moved to Netflix, the dub has been nearly an entire year behind. Things haven't been this out of sync since the 4Kids era. A lot of people have been quick to blame this on Netflix's batch releases, but I don't think that's the issue. I'm fine with episodes releasing in batches; the problem for me is how long it takes for the batches to come out. The last episode of Season 1 aired in the UK on September 9th, but it didn't release in the US until November 22nd. That episode, along with the 14 others from that batch, were already dubbed, yet they still waited months before releasing them stateside. It just doesn't make much sense to me.

You should definitely just watch it as it comes out in japan. It's too good to wait for Netflix or whatever to get it a long time for now. Also I think that was a master roshi reference not all might. That is kind of his thing, getting super buff our of nowhere as an old man.

I wish we could do that here in the us but we’re pretty much given no access legally to Pokémon horizons except through Netflix the only other way is to either watch it from some sketchy website that may have English subtitles or watch it on pokeflix which is in English but still doesn’t give us immediate access to the episodes as they come out in Japan I don’t know where this dude is from but if he’s from the us Netflix is pretty much the only option

I do hope more people give this series a shot, as it‘s actually quite good! The English dub sounds great too, but it also does the thing I disliked about the old series, where they just dump the original soundtrack in the trash and replace it with more generic sounding tracks. Especially the Rising Voltacklers theme that plays during big moments, is something I miss.

They probably won't end up with teams of 6. SPOILER ALERT!!!! From what I understand, the Japanese dub is pretty much at 60% of the story rn. At this point all 3 protagonists have 2 mons each, and all of these are at their second evolution stage(Except Wattrel who is now at its final stage). Doesn't really look like each of them would take up 4 more mons in the second half of the story.

It's not a bad series. Just all over the place in terms of what it wants to do Liko wish her dot and the guy started catching more pokemon or the ship started with little to no pokemon and grew with time. Not goh level of terrible where he catches everything that breaths with no real development of a character I do hope with time it really finds itself as a story based pokemon series would be really great as ash sorta resets exact story. I'd love to see liko truly come into her own person

But Pokemon Horizons HAS been consistent in what it wants to do though. It has a completely different focus from the past Pokemon series as it focuses more on slow character development over the course of several episodes and subtle changes in how the characters interact with each other as opposed to in-your-face battle and training. I won't deny that early on the series it can feel slow which was the main gripe of the series since they're still trying to find their footing. But once they found that footing they're doing a REALLY great job at building the series' lore. I genuinely felt really invested in the story telling and plot twists and there are times in episodes where things from past episodes lead up to one big thing like how in the latest episode as of writing this comment where a LOT of things from previous episodes all come together (Episode 75) or how Liko and Roy started off spamming attacks in their very first battle against each other and then at the end of the Terastal Training arc they're CONSTANTLY going back and forth coming up with strategies to counter each other's strategies.

1. The series definitely had a recurring story going on (right from the beginning) about terapagos & as we progress we get a better idea of it connecting with lucius & laqua & the 6 heroes 🤔 so it's not really hard to follow & watch its development 🤷‍♂️ 2. There were still some pokemon goh did bond & helped bulid his character 🤔

@@theonlineninja7596 problem with that is ash was way smarter than both of them combined by episode 10 especially with catching pokemon. Setting them free. Battle stragety etc. Liko could have been like that kid in trainer school thinking grass beats water but the water type is much stronger than her cat and learn as she goes that school isn't the same as hands on battles. Meanwhile Roy almost got it himself but again he just spams as well. Could be the opposite where he feels a move could work but fails with it instead. Both just feel mirror to one another especially with starter moves. Dot meanwhile works perfectly as she's a shut in so her not knowing or being good with people pokemon and the outside works better than liko

@@maganhassan2627 problem isn't that the story is hard to follow. The problem is how it goes from the narrative to what's basically filler that can be skipped and nothing changes. I mean is the pig episode important? Not really since dot just drops the whole match maker thing. Only plot important ones are when a Mon joins the ship or is caught which drops the number down a lot on what you can or need to watch. But on your own logic those plot episodes are here and there not an overarching thing so it goes to show my point. I understood all of ash's storylines and tournament growth and by the end he truly came into his own a bit late since he was way stronger than he gave himself credit for even before hoenn. Here liko has no real goal aside what the turtle wants to do. Which isn't her journey it's the buddy. Even Roy found his goal as a person he just needs more mons and development to be perfectly fine

@ivanbluecool the series featuring ash ALSO HAD "FILLER" I don't get the issue...I find that funny because the series went kinda fast with the 6 heroes plot so obviously they had to slow it down. There's STILL that overarching plot going on though... this is the SAME thing what the old anime did lol. Ash's journey maybe simple but for horizons it's different but you still see the characters grow differently throughout. Liko in particular just want to understand how pokemon feel & connect with them & that explains how she's helping terapagos find laqua. She's not ash but rather her character feel more relatable as people in life are still figuring out what they want to do. Roy wants to be strong & go on adventures like lucius & find & battle rayqueza& he's doing that already 🤔

First of all, I would seriously suggest watching the Japanese version instead! It is SO much better in every way, and that’s not just because it’s so far ahead. For one thing, the English dub entirely ruined the soundtrack, at least based of the like 5 minutes I could bare watching (toooootally legally, not like they forgot to release the dub outside America or anything). And maybe it’s just because I’m used to it, but the voices and voice acting in the original Japanese version are SO much better. Again, only seen a bit of the English dub, but it just sounded so forced, and while the voice choices I heard could be worse, it just doesn’t feel as fitting as the original voices. Also, holy crap the latest episode from a few days ago was insane. Genuinely one of the best episodes of the Pokémon anime of all time, if not THE best. It was SO good, just wow. I already would’ve said Horizons is probably the best the Pokémon anime has ever been, but after that episode, there is no doubt in my mind.

I don't mind the dub music though of course I do wish they would keep the original music but it is what it is, outside of that however I think the Horizons dub is excellent especially when it comes to the voice acting, there's so much fantastic talent in this series including some big names in dubbing like Matt Mercer (who voices Spinel)! Horizons overall is definitely getting better and better, I'm really intrigued by the story!

Hi there I am a big Pokemon fan how to spell but I do have some issues with the Pokemon horizon and also with some of the other Pokemon series that was made in the past only Pokemon show I won't watch is Pokemon XYZ that's because Pokemon XYZ was too much like a reboot because of the story didn't even make any sense when they brought the series out and also ever since Pokemon XYZ was made they just kind of killed the Pokemon shows all together after that I mean if you look at the old Pokemon shows from the 90s and the late 2000s they were a lot more interesting back then then they were today I know they're still trying to keep up the legacy for Pokemon but the thing is Pokemon is not doing too good anymore I mean my brother and me are big anime fans for years and the thing is they just lost a lot of connections with the Pokemon shows anymore for one I mean they should have never had Serena to replace Misty as the love of ashes life for one just because they added a scene where Serena Mets Ash since they were kids and that's where I knew they were going with a a small reboot a little bit because they were trying to erase Brock and Misty out of the picture and for one Misty is one of the most popular characters in Pokemon since the 90s so I don't know why they did that but they did even the actress that played Misty and Jesse God bless her soul I know she's not around anymore because she just passed away this year and she will be missed but when she was alive my brother met her one time and Arizona I wasn't there I was with my grandfather at the time when he was alive and my brother told me that she was there signing autographs to fans my brother got to speak to her she told my brother at the time that the original ending for Pokemon was supposed to actually be Pokemon Master quest but because fans wanted more Pokemon shows and games at that time they kept on with the series at the time and if you watch Pokemon from the 90s Misty was opening up her feelings for Ash and Pokemon shows back in the 90s and that was throwing a red flag at Ash that Misty had feelings for him but because Pokemon XYZ comes out they kind of messed that all up and because of that Pokemon is still kind of going and a slump a little bit until they fix their mistake what they did to Pokemon I won't ever watch any of the new Pokemon episodes ever again I still like Pokemon and I'm glad that they brought back the old Pokemon shows to Pluto TV is a streaming service for free that you can watch on Roku TV and I heard that they're trying to add more of the other shows on their to the Pokemon TV so that's my Christian for today and I appreciate that you got to listen to my point on so I hope you guys have a merry Christmas and a happy holidays and I'll talk to you guys soon bye
