Love the magnifly. Best running shoe ever in my opinion.

Have you tried altra escalante? I am debating between escalante and manifly

Unfortunately I haven't tried any versions of the Escalante yet. I'm sorry I can't speak to that as a comparison.

I'm enjoying my Phantom 3 & Cyclone 2. Is it fair to say that the only diff between the Magnify 5 & Cyclone 2 are the heel drops? Magnify =0 Cyclone = 5

Absolutely, the Cyclone and the Magnifly are very similar, appealing to both parties. Those who like and dislike drops.

I need to follow up this comment to offer more clarification. Magnifly 5 is not similar to the Cyclone 2 in that the Magnifly 5 is a daily trainer as emphasized in the video, but the cyclone, your shoe, is more of a tempo trainer. Hope that helps.

would this shoe be ideal for shorter distances with a focus on sprints?
@timetorunchannel10 ай бұрын
What are some numbers you envision when you say shorter distances? Are you talking anything less than 4 miles or did you have more like 8-10 miles in mind? Trying to get an idea of your context? These are great for strides during or after sessions depending on the overall effort in a given session.

@@timetorunchannel I only go about 1 mile at a time, my main focus is on doing HIIT with max effort sprints the main focus of my cardio training.

Super comfy shoe. Underside of the tongue is silky and the top of my feet appreciate that! Well made shoe.

Quick question. what kind of accent is that I detect? Belgium? Looks like a very interesting, seems to compare favorably to an altra escalante, especially since altra quality is down. Only thing though. how do these guys get off on calling it zero drop when it has that pronounced rocker in the toe? Like, cmon. that doesn't math. It's said to be very flexible, which is good, but that's still a major toe rocker on this guy. I'd rather have taper/rocker in the heel which makes reduces heel strikes, or at least makes them smoother and much softer when walking fast, without being noticable or annoying, rather than a major toe rocker. But I imagine it shouldn't be too annoying if the shoe is actually flexible. most of the time rigid shoes need the rocker just to be a shoe, but flexible shoes shouldn't need it, so I don't really get it. Considering it has the rocker, I'm going to say in reality it's at least 2 mm drop. I'm for sure going to try this shoe on soon. Looks like it could be a winner if it actually fits my bff.
