Here you can watch Matt play the drums to "So Lonely" by The Police. Don't miss the never-before seen/heard ending, as it is extended beyond the originally faded-out ending on the Outlandos d'Amour album. The drumming is clearly not a note-for-note reproduction Stewart Copeland's arrangement; in many cases, the drum parts are completely original. The video was shot in full-HD (1080p), while the audio was taken directly from the mixing console.

Our minds work a lot the same. It was weird watching those extra fills because I felt them almost like something I would do! So, great job! I consider myself an above average drummer, so giving you big credit! Great looking kit, and great skills!!!

Nice! I noticed the opening of your video features "!00,000 Years" by KISS from KISS Alive. I use to play that entire song on my drum set as a kid when it first came out (it's how an 11-year-old me honed my skills at the time.) Looking to get back into the drums and am researching kits, which is how I stumbled upon this video. Nice playing and killer drum setup you have there!

Thanks! Kiss is one of my all-time favorite bands. My first concert was Kiss Dynasty, September 1979, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. I was 8 years old hahaha! My parents just dropped my brother and I off out in front of the Spectrum... it was safer then... at least we thought it was.

Yep, saw that tour in 1979 at the San Diego Sports Arena. 15th-row, dead center. I think they did something like 5 encores that night. I was 15 years old at the time, so not my first concert (that, and my Dad was a Concert Promoter and Radio DJ, so my first concert was seeing my Dad's friend Johnny Cash perform when I was 5 years old!)

+Larry Tate That kit was maple, bubinga, and mahogany... long gone. I don't play Pearl drums anymore, other than some of their special snare drums.

+Larry Tate That is for sale as well, I only used it for some extra percussion sounds. The pads are too small for my taste.

I'm playing an e-kit now, since I live in a townhouse. Here is a link to my latest video. When I move back to a single-family home, I will get a new acoustic kit. I will either be a Tama, Gretsch, Ludwig, or DW kit... I haven't decided yet.
