Not all get bunglow and cars. Only IAS & IPS who get district posting only get bungalows and cars. Others dont get bungalows rather Official residence cum flats and no personal cars rather official cars for everyother staffs of same cadre. Dont mislead. Basic pay and in hand salary two different things My brother is P.S to D.G investigation NHRC the D.G is Level 17 IPS his basic pay is Rs. 2,25,000 per month however his monthly in hand salary is Rs. 5,20,000 /- Plus he is entitled for 5 star hotel stay and business class air travel for official work and in any state he visits he is entitled for protocol such as a driver and official car for his commute from air port to his hotel and entire stay and work plus 24*7 security across India He is 1988 batch IPS (former special director of CBI) He lives in Type 7 bungalow in Pandara Road, Lutyens Bungalow zone, Delhi
