Since I've seen the bundling of MSI Afterburner mentioned multiple times recently - MSI Afterburner isn't a Micro-Star International product, it's being developed by Alexey Nicolaychuk (a.k.a. Unwinder from Guru3D forums), who is also responsible for RivaTuner (and subsequently RTSS), Asus GPU Tweak and formerly EVGA Precision X.

cable management is an art, the CPU Power Cables can be tucked behind the PSU, the 24 pin along with other cables including Pcie power can be ziptied to the other deeper end of HHD Cage, Audio cable can be tucked behind the motherboard and atlast all the extra cables can be shoved inside the HDD Cage so that they are not visible.

Also worth noting how that power supply has a fake 80 plus certification. Not only does it have a gold label and say that its bronze certified, but the ''plus'' is literally misaligned. Also, no, it does not appear on clearesult 80 plus certified psu list. It's crazy to think that MSI might even consider working with a company fake certifying its PSUs.

Prebuilt case swaps can indeed make a huge difference. I have an HP Omen 25L that ran ridiculously hot, due to no ventilation in the front and an ewaste CPU cooler---swapped everything into a case with a vented front grill, 2 front fans, and a proper CPU cooler---the difference in temps is like night and day. in fact, the fans don't even ramp up anymore, even while gaming---they don't need to

I will put in my 2 cents on the Norton, I have personally used it since 1996 with NAV 4.0, there were some bad times around the release of Norton Security in the early 2000s, but mcafee is trash, the first thing I remove when I get a laptop that has it unfortunately preinstalled (looking at you asus) and the IT department has installed it on my work station by surprise and it has taken my previously deliciously fast work station to something that feels like it has a celeron processor in it and a network card that has never heard the phrase "gigabit speed"

After i did a fresh install of Win11, i had zero issues. I'm guessing MSI did some tinkering to not allow much configuration of their system in the windows image

If you're going to go through the effort of transmigrating the innards of the prebuilt into a quality case, I guess I'd suggest clearing the crud out of the OS by resetting it. Depending on your version, I'd guess the easiest way to do that would be under Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Removing all that bloatware might give a measurable performance boost.

honestly, only youtubers care about power supply brands. Being building computers for more than 20 years when you just used the included generic power supply and never have seen a fire or components damaged by it.

If XMP wasn't on, did you check to see if ReBar is also off? Be interesting to see the results between off and on. I'm still running an 8th gen i5 with an RTX 3080. My Gigabyte Z390 mobo supports ReBar and it is enabled but the graphics card cannot take advantage of it. At this stage I'm trying to justify a CPU, Mobo and RAM upgrade if ReBar is worth it on a 3080. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

Sir Dawid, there are many fonts from renowned brands that are made in factories and when assembled into pre-builts they come out with a strange name, but they are very good fonts!! the statement is ok

You would think component brand prebuilt would have pride in their product. You would think their prebuilts would be a showcase for their products.

80C is warm but running equipment around there for long periods of time is perfectly fine. That power supply is fine too, I've used Bronze rated supplies in budget builds dozens of times over. 8-pin =150W and it can pull up to 75 from the slot. It's rated at 170W on MSI with a 550W recommendation which this one is. That CPU isn't going to pull more than 120W according to Intel. So potential of up to 225W GPU and 120W CPU for 345W for a 550W PSU to handle? Sure the mobo and SSD draw a little, the fans too. But go crazy and call it 400W. You've still got 100+ for headroom. Not sure if you're "speculating" about it for an entertaining video but there's really nothing worth worrying about here. You could nitpick about XMP not being enabled right out of the box, but aside from that you made a lot of mountains out of molehills. Throw an intake fan in the front, enable XMP, clean out the Windows install and you're good for 3-5 years which should be what you'd wanna get out of a mid-tier GPU anyways.

Buying this pc you are paying a premium for non premium parts. The temperatures for the GPU were ridiculous in that case. As for the PSU if we follow your guide there and say approx 400w power draw on a 500w psu of questionable build quality you think thats ok? the 500w rating is its max rating, its not going to like drawing that for long periods. The 400w draw is 75% of its max rating. Dawid showed that an independent categorisation of the PSU showed it in band D, i.e. low end. this pc you are paying a premium price over build it yourself and I would expect a better PSU myself.

@@desktopstu4145 Independent rating made by LTT, who is not a technical reviewer at all, though is knowledgeable. Also, 400/500 Watts is 80%. Bottom line is there's hard facts to power supplies and how they're rated. If you don't like the yellow/red/orange cabling then just say that. a 500W PSU should be able to handle 400W all day long, provided you're not pulling too many amps on the 12V rail. You're not paying for premium parts. You're paying someone to put parts together since you don't know how to. I spelled it all out pretty clearly in my comment though. 400 out of 550 is fine, and that's under full load, which is very rare. Educate yourself better.

The PSU Tier list featured is not something created by LTT, its by a small group of contributors who have made it almost their lifes work to test pretty much every PSU they can find, however obscure. their testing regime is so good that pretty much all the youtuber reviewers refer back to it. Google PSU Tier list and you cannot help but find it - if they say iots a poor PSU, you can take that to the bank. As for colour of the cables, i dont see the relevance of that comment, I personally dont care what colour the cables are, ketchup and mustard works no worse than braided. Sure Dawid makes comments on the colour but its just that a comment. At the end of the day if you want to trust that no name brand psu with your gaming set up thats your shout. Dawid has done his review and given his verdict, take it all with a pinch of salt. @@wolfblue9390

@@desktopstu4145 He says in the video it's LTT's list. That being said, I googled it and see what you mean. Regardless, it's a subjective list, with too much emphasis on things that don't really matter - sub-100V power input or tiny spikes around 100mv. Someone who buys this computer in all likelihood won't be stressing it past 250-300 Watts, and again, it's Bronze rated, to there's SOME standards there. I'd be saying different if there wasn't an 80+ rating. Again, mountains out of molehills here. He's really more just reaching for points to make for an interesting video if I had to guess. I said all this in my first comment though.

I'm somewhat surprised at the amount of temp difference w/o changing stock fan curves as, typically, the stock fan curves will make any card cook. However, I guess going to 3 intake fans, presumably with no fan curves as none were mentioned, from 0 intake fans might explain it.
