I'm 59 and had to do the dating thing also after a 30 yr marriage ended ,,and my friends started a "match.com" profile on me lol, I to talked to my guy for 6 1/2 mths before meeting, and I'm so blessed this man was so patient with me ,(I was petrified to date) and now 5 yrs later ,he's bought me a homestead in montana, and yes the second part of life is so great . Monique, love your videos. I laughed when you told about sitting by the pool when it was cold. I left 5 degree weather in Iowa in February this year, to visit my son in LA, where it was an unusually cool 60 degrees. It felt like a heat wave to me, so I was out by the pool, soaking it up. Meanwhile, LA folks were walking around in winter coats. I’m sure they thought I was crazy, but it was great. Thanks for your presence, supporting me in my going-gray journey. You make me smile!

High protein kibble (I'm feeding royal canine sensible right now) really helped with my old really sheddy cat. It also makes their leavings smaller and smell less bad. In that sheddy cat it cut the fur by 90% from just being on canned food.

Yeah my other cats didn't seem to have such a big issue with the same food. I don't know if all premium food is high protein but all the cats I've fed got a better coat on it. All the cats I feed on Royal canine Sensible (for sensitive digestion) seem to like it and do well on it. Which the sensitive ones didn't on all kinds of premium. So yes it does seem to be worth trying a few other kinds. Though switching in itself can give some a bit of gut trouble at first I've never noticed that with the RC. So good luck! I don't miss the furry keyboard all year round, haha.

Also the prospect of owning a CAR at long bloody last, poor and the last car I had to drive was technically my mother's and was in my 20's (I'm also 52)!! I just turned 50 and I am totally ok with it.My Kids are grown (still living at home im ok with this truly)....but I find now that for the first time in a long time I care about me again.Like make up ,,,hair,,,,all those things....Physically im not happy but who ever is..and thats something I have to do for myself. Loved this video chat! There are some people who you know you could sit down with and ramble on and on about life. First -- those pink shoes -- to die for!! I can relate so much with there is life after a certain age; with me it's 67. I try to tell some people a little of my story so that they can see life doesn't end at 40 or 50. My daughter told me that I gave her hope of finding someone special. She is getting married next month and she is almost 37. I remarried at age 60 after a long distance romance. We talked every night for no less than 2 to 3 hours a night. We saw each other every 5 to 6 weeks. But it was like being on a holiday. He lived in VT and ended up closing his business, selling his home etc. and moved out to WA (where I live). There is a bitter end to this story though...we lasted for 7 yrs. being married. We are now divorced and are next door neighbors. You gotta do what works for you! And -- I love your hair color!

I had to have a root canal and crown last year and was stupid to assume that my dental insurance would partially pay for it. The insurance company stated that they would pick up 50 percent of the cost. Afterwards, they refused to pay for any of it due to the fact that the root canal was done with laser and the crown was ceramic. I had a $3,000 bill and used Care Credit. You can make monthly payments with no interest. You can also use it for medical, dental, vet, optical, audio, cosmetic, etc. It was a lifesaver for me. It only takes about two minutes to get approved.

One is going to have to be careful when saying the name of that film. lol Thank you also for addressing the older woman, younger man issue. You are so right about it being okay, in fact a high five if it is reversed and it is a young girl with an older man. But it's not the same for us! This incites me with anger since what is good for the goose should be good for the gander! I am in one of these situations and it was quite by accident that it happeneded. We had an online friendship for 2 yrs and one day decided to finally meet. We've been together ever since. Neither one of us had ever seen the other person, so it was quite a shock when he opened the door! LOL The reason it worked out so well is because of the age difference for both of us. He needed a more mature woman to have conversations with and I needed someone young and fun. Just because your birthday number says you are up there, does not mean your mind agrees with it!

Dental is soooo important but very expensive. In 2008, paid $20,000 for removal of 5 upper root canals & a full bridge. NOW, I live in So America & the same dental work is $8,000. I will be having the permanent bridge replaced soon.

Monique, you look great with or without makeup! You are quite lucky! Remember the movie Harold and Maude? Now there was a movie where the man was quite a bit younger than the woman!! I love what is often referred to as "B" movies! I'm hoping to get ahold of your current movies -- love to watch them! That fashion show sounds wonderful! As a woman who is barely 5'1" (ok, a little less, give me a break!) It would be great to see couture fashion that may look good on me!! Your idea of filming the outfit before you make a final decision on what to wear is a great idea! My husband gives me feedback, but he isn't always as honest as I'd prefer!! I've learned some of his hints. That looks fine, means take it off and find something else to wear because that outfit does nothing for me!! Oh how I've missed you, Monique! Thanks for this lovely update, missie! I'm battling two sets of dog hair shedding from our German Shepherds so I know how you feel with your cat hair! Lord have mercy; it's been terrible, especially with our current heat wave (it's felt like 46C or 116F for the last four days).
