I think the reason why Natasha’s death was so awful was because of the struggle that preceded it. You have two people who loved each other fighting not for their own life, but each other’s. It was heartbreakingly tragic.

@Roosa Seppälä You don't even understand the amount of toxicity you can get from a female after she sees you crying or heard that you've cried.. Actually one of the things that I regret the most is that I cried in front of a woman. Most toxically masculine men don't cry, but not all men who don't cry are toxically masculine. I don't even understand what "toxically masculine" means.. What do I call it when a female is toxic? Even you are being toxic with this stuff you wrote, whether you realize it or not. There's a good reason why men don't show their feelings. "he isn't afraid to compliment the male actors either like most men w fragile masculinity are" Compliment their looks or acting or what..?

Personally I feel the moment after his snap is Robert Downey Jr's best acting moment, ever. The lost shock on his face is Haunting. Like he can't even see anymore. He can't feel anything but pain and fear and uncertainty. He has No idea what's happening around him. Not until he hears Pepper. When she tells him he can rest and he finally understands. Such an amazing actor.

That "you can rest now" line gets me every time. Gwenyth Paltrow gives an amazing performance as well, as a wife just trying to be strong for her dying husband... that is very hard to do irl (I saw my mom do it and I still don't know how she was so strong when my dad was dying), but to act that strength must be even harder...

His last thought ever was "I'm sorry". Hes saying sorry to pepper and to Morgan stark and his life he's leaving behind. He knew he had to do it. It was finally time to defeat his demons that's been haunting him since 2012. He got to settle down and forget about Thanos for a while until finally 5 years later the day came. Just a simple visit from Steve, Natasha and Scott Lang and then the same night he figures out time travel and puts Morgan to bed. He realizes that he possibly won't come back from joining the avengers and doing this time travel shenanigans. He got to internally repair his relationship with his dad. They got the stones and then when strange came back and held up the number one tony knew. He knew he must do it. If strange told him when Tony asks if this is it then Tony wouldve hesitated and would've thought too hard about what it is exactly he's about to do. It was a spur in a moment decision and he realized he had to do it. If he didn't Thanos would've destroyed the whole universe and that includes Morgan and pepper. Because of him they get to live on. He finally put his demons to rest and we love him 3000 for that

I also SO totally respect and admire reactors that are able to post content like this! Seb's "Endgame" reaction here is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE out of ALL videos of all 12 reactors I follow!! I personally would make a terrible reactor myself, as you might guess if you read my story below (at least right now... I do have a history of mimicking my role models... hehe): I have grown to REALLY like tearjerkers. It started after watching "Inside Out" at around age 30... until then, I did not care about tearjerkers at all, and it was really rare for any movie to make me cry. But... one particular part of "Inside Out" hit me like a truck, and after the movie I realized I was actually CRAVING MORE TEARJERKERS. Knowing myself, that was a "WTF??!!" moment for me. After a bit of research I discovered it had probably been the "feel-good brain chemicals" endorphins and oxytocin accounting for that craving for more (both of which can get released with crying). But here is the part relevant to my point of "I would make a terrible reactor": During that scene that "hit me like a truck", I was watching with my two roommates, and I was NOT at all willing to let them see me cry! I did prevent tears, BUT it took SO much effort to hold that level of "ambush of emotion" in, that it actually felt like it hurt my brain! Later, even though I'd started actively seeking out tearjerkers for myself... AND getting a stronger and stronger urge to tell my "discovery story" to a close friend (who was ONE of those SAME roommates!)... ...it took me FIVE YEARS to get the courage to even THINK about telling her! And even when I'd decided to, just THINKING about admitting that a movie scene had almost made me cry, triggered intense "butterflies in stomach" feelings! It took me an HOUR... to just START to get the story out to her (!) But wow, let me tell you, it was SO rewarding to get that out to someone! For probably 24 hours afterwards my nervous system felt like it'd emerged from a really good massage... just an oxytocin ocean lol. Before that, I actually can't recall me talking to anyone about my own crying in my entire life. During my story to her, I even had trouble saying the word "cry" and would use other terms, lol! For a while I even had trouble TYPING it (i.e. for KZbin comments) but I've gotten over that to some degree :P

I cried for Tony's death more, honestly. Nothing against Nat, but I realized with Tony how much he had changed since Iron Man until this point and fell in love with his arc. He buried the hatchet with his father and with Cap before turning selfless. He started the MCU, so it was poetic that he would conclude the Infinity Saga. Besides, I feel that Black Widow (the movie) didn't give us enough insight into Budapest or the actual transformation into Black Widow becoming a Red Room spy/killer. See her fight with the guilt and trauma, the foundation of her relationship with Clint, or find a way to escape towards S.H.I.E.L.D. and create the origin to where her conclusion in Endgame is sadder because of the contrast of where she was. I absolutely loved the opening to this movie and how dark it was(I honestly thought the whole movie was gonna be darker than Bucky's origin as the Winter Soldier), but I think there was a missed opportunity with the story and with Taskmaster that I won't spoil. Not because of the twist, but the way that Taskmaster could've played a more intricate role with the story would've made a more interesting villain altogether. For example, the send-off for Vision in WandaVision gives us context towards the beginning of Wanda and Vision's relationship that we didn't get after or during Age of Ultron. Because we're given context to how important Vision is to Wanda and just how deep and heavy their relationship is, Vision's death in Infinity War hurts more

This movie has my absolute favorite single shot of any superhero movie ever: all hope seems lost, Thanos and his army assembling on one side of the battlefield, and Cap standing opposite them, alone with his broken shield, still somehow ready to face them all on his own. Nothing has ever summed up a superhero on film better than that one single shot, in my opinion. That's just who Steve Rogers is.
@bloodyneptune
@bloodyneptune 3 жыл бұрын
Based on the trailers, I thought that was going to happen in IW. The shot of him holding Thanos off, I thought, would be followed by Steve getting beat back, getting back up, running at Thanos, then everyone running out behind him. Just Steve, sticking to what he believes in no matter what, that same kid fighting the way stronger bully in the ally. And all these hero's not following Captain America into the jaws of death, but that little guy from Brooklyn. So when it happened in Endgame, and I realized it was _all_ the hero's, literally everyone from the Asgardians to the Ravagers, following him, I swear to god I almost had an emotional-overload-stroke
@JeffKelly03
@JeffKelly03 3 жыл бұрын
@@bloodyneptune Speaking of that little kid from Brooklyn... I always found it very telling that in Infinity War when he meets Groot, he doesn't say "I am Captain America." He says "I am Steve Rogers." That's who he is. Captain America was a moniker he was given, but it's not who he really is. He's always that kid from Brooklyn who stands up for what's right, no matter what you want to call him for a superhero name.

"Crying is actually super healthy" - YES tell me about it! I have an interesting little story with research to back it up (i.e. the oxytocin that can get released with crying has been mentioned by SCIENTIFIC PAPERS to improve immunity! :D I have grown to REALLY like tearjerkers. It wasn't until I started actually seeking out tearjerkers on purpose until I realized how difficult it was to find one that actually made me cry. It wasn't until a few YEARS after "Inside Out" when I was rewarded by "Interstellar". But to make things even more frustrating, I soon learned that it was literally impossible for me to cry at a RE-watch of ANYthing. A couple years after "Interstellar", a watch of "The Land Before Time" triggered THE most intense cry of my LIFE.... and yes it reminded me of SEB'S "Endgame" reaction here. In fact, I sometimes re-visit this reaction partially to remind myself how my own "The Land Before Time" experience felt. But again, it's NOT to torture myself... it's for those feel-good brain chemicals endorphins and oxytocin ;) Just a few days ago (but a long 7 months after the "Land Before Time") I found another gem that triggered an equally intense experience (and I dare say perhaps even more so)... "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." My response to THAT one seemed to be unique to ME though... none of the other 5+ reactors who've done that one had nearly the same reaction as me... although it may have had something to do with the fact my MOST intense reactions happened AFTER the movie was over, when the wheels in my head had some quiet time to start turning :P

Cap was always worthy. As has been pointed out many times, back in Age of Ultron he moved the hammer a smidge...but he knew what that would do to Thor if he lifted it, so he chose not to. And then after all Thor went through, and realized "I'm still worthy" and was HAPPY when he saw Cap call Mjolnir, saying "I knew it!" just shows even more of Thors redemption arc. Brilliant storytelling!

Actually there is an stalemate with the directors and the writer. Russo Brothers say that he was always worthy but didn't want to hurt Thor's ego, but the writer say that he wasn't completely worthy until the events of Civil War, with the fact that he knew Bucky had killed Tony's parents and never told him. I personally like the writer's version more. It gives more depth to the character

@@JoeMama410 right? Plus I didn't enjoy Black Widow like how I thought I would because Marvel was pushing Yelena on us. I found myself wanting to see Yelena more Than Natasha, and it's her movie and story. They took so long with the movie and I am so upset, I wanted to see her being recruited, training in the Red Room, going to assassinate people (you know, actually show what made her broken) and getting recruited by shield(then the movie ends). Instead of pushing a trilogy in one movie. Plus the whole widows being mine controlled just doesn't make sense to me. They all were recruited from childhood and possibly were living in bad conditions, so for them to be mind controlled instead of being fully loyal to the Red Room because they've been stripped from the one thing that could have made them leave is so dumb to me.

I think most people were more ruined by Natasha dying because it cur her life short. She didn’t have a chance to settle down, find love, be at peace. Toni on the other hand had a satisfying ending. He chose to do it because he wanted to save everyone, he’d known since that vision Wanda gave him that it all rested on him in the end. He had a full character arch, and the selfish playboy ended being a man who loved not just his family, but all his friends, & who had grown into being a good man. He’d had 5 yrs with Pepper & their daughter, he’d had a fulfilled life. You mourn that, but it doesn’t hurt the same way as when someone dies before they’ve achieved that, when there is still so much they obviously want from life. Cap likewise had that fulfilled life, he got to spend 50+ yrs with Peggy, and that was after he’d saved the world a few times, grew into being worthy by going by his own moral compass rather than following orders, & was satisfied with his life. He for to have the only desire he truly had for himself- to be with Peggy.

Sometimes tears fall as easily as a knocked cup of overfilled tea, and it's just proof of a beating heart/tea addiction. Maybe you didn't cry as much for Tony because it was less a tragic sacrifice like Widow, or a bittersweet goodbye to Cap, and more of a hero's journey fulfilled. Maybe you cried also because you think that Endgame might be the end of many subscriber's interest in your channel, and maybe some of us will fall away, but that doesn't mean we don't think a great deal of you as a person, in a "glimpse at another human soul through the internet" kinda way. Seeing her again with so much love in his eyes and the fact that he can’t approach her, he can’t talk to her like Thor and Tony did to their past people is so sad, you see that pain in his eyes, all he could do is look at her and just longed to be with her. And the fact that she still had his picture on her desk after what over 20 years after he crashed the plane also shows how much she still misses him. I was so happy he went back to her in the end and had a happy life. If anyone deserved a happy ending it was Cap!

Back then I wasn’t exactly a full blown fan of Marvel, I only saw about three or four movies including the first Avengers movie growing up (not to mention I loved every single one too). And around last year I figured, why not do a little marathon and watch every movie they have y’know? Since I basically had all the time in the world. And oh boy, I get it now. I genuinely understand. Tony basically felt like a father to me, which makes it even worse considering the fact that I just lost my dad last year. So losing two of the people that I considered as father figures (albeit one is just fictional) - it’s just heartbreaking. God, I’m gonna miss the OG 6. 😭💔

I've also watched a lot of Seb's videos (and those of 11 other reactors) and I can also say this is the best I've seen so far... out of ALL of them. I saw this reaction before I finally learned to watch the movies on my own FIRST before watching reactions to them (but in this case, I didn't have easy access to "Endgame" so I probably would have given in to watching THIS reaction first ANYWAY :P But yeah, his reaction really makes me regret not watching it on my own first, because... I have grown to REALLY like tearjerkers.

@@anthonyabisogun3389 That is definitely interesting to me! Like I said in my other comment, it's been literally impossible for me to cry at a RE-watch of ANYthing, and that also usually goes for reaction videos showing mere clips of the same movie I'd just (usually) seen. BUT there was ONE exception (although it may have been because I DIDN'T cry at ALL upon my first watch): "It's a Wonderful Life." There was one scene where the REACTOR I was watching said something during an already-touching scene that just hit me as extra-touching, and made me realize things about the scene that I hadn't thought about before. So... yeah I can easily imagine something similar happening in Seb's reaction here, for you! In my other comment I also mentioned how the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" got me real good. And despite my apparent rule of thumb of "re-watches can't make me cry"... THAT movie showed some promise at first that it MIGHT break that rule, because I caught myself tearing up at just the reactions I watched in subsequent days! However... upon a full re-watch, nope- nothing, as usual. Especially since I really LIKE tearjerkers (for the associated feel-good brain endorphins) I keep hoping to find a "repeater tearjerker" for myself (like I see so many OTHER people talking about... I actually start to get envious when they talk about those, lol!

I love how we all cry at different moments in this film! It just shows how it means something different for all of us... I cried so hard I couldn't see when Tony died, but just smiled and thought it made perfect sense when Cap returned as an old man :) And I think that is kinda beautiful! Great reaction once again, Seb :) Thanks.

Seeing this at midnight on opening night might have been my best theatre experience forever. Packed theatre literally cheering and sobbing. I love how movie goes all the way back to the argument in The Avengers, Where Cap says Tony couldn't make the sacrifice play, and Tony said everything good about Cap came from a bottle. A decade later and Tony lays down his life and Cap is Worthy.

🖤 Seb, Seb, Seb, please stop apologizing for crying, or for not being able to stop crying, or for not being able to cry. Truly. You deserve more grace from yourself, and everyone watching should recognize the strength in vulnerability and how much strength there is in sharing that vulnerability. And no tears doesn't mean you're not being vulnerable either - our bodies/mind work in weird ways! Anyway, I was sobbing and smiling right along, as usual, and continue to be amazed at the details you remember. This was so special to relive with you, and to once again see the power in story, and the bonds we can make with fictional characters. Cheers man.

I think for me it was like teared up for black widow, cried for Iron man (especially during the funeral scene) but boy did I really ugly cry - like full on loud sob - for old cap. And before it was even revealed, I just knew in my heart he was gonna choose to stay in the past and be with Peggy. Plus, Cap was one of my favourites, i connected with his character more than like Iron man, so knowing his journey was done in the mCu was like an extra reason.

One thing that will always stick with me is absolutely sobbing through the last part of the movie with my friends. One friend's favourite character is Tony and my favourite is Steve. The friend who loves Iron Man was firmly on his side during civil war and we've had intense arguments about who was right. But that night, I just remember embracing her and sobbing together when Tony died, and her doing the same for me when Steve returned as an old man. We all stumbled out of the theatre absolutely exhausted and discussing the movie until 3 am. We went on opening night and just the atmosphere in the room with all the marvel fans was insane, an experience I will never forget.

@sathvamp1

I SOO know how that impulse feels of wanting to hug someone through theTV, and from my research, we can likely thank the "empathy hormone" oxytocin for that :) I am also SO so glad he didn't cut any of *those parts* out of the video. I've watched a lot of Seb's videos (and those of 11 other reactors) and I can also say this is the best I've seen so far... out of ALL of them.

I agree, and that goes for females too, lol... I still cringe like crazy at just the thought of ME potentially crying in front of someone lol. On that note, funny story of mine to follow this little background: It takes a lot to make me cry. Which is actually sort of frustrating for me because... ever since I discovered, after watching "Inside Out" for the first time, that feel-good brain endorphins often come along with tears, I've actually been a tearjerker-seeker for a few years now, lol. But even when I'm actively looking, I've gone 7+ months before without finding a really good trigger. Even most "classic tearjerker movies" don't seem to do anything to me, although there are exceptions. The ONLY movies that "got me" for more than one viewing are "The Land Before Time" (as an adult only for some reason)... for both times I watched it as an adult (and I was drunk the 2nd time, lol)... and also "Nimona" (that one held the record for triggering cries on 15 occasions). Hachi triggered me 5-6 times. During that 2nd viewing as an adult of "The Land Before Time" I was watching with my mom, too, BUT I was way too drunk to care to wonder if I might cry around her or not LOL. But the room was set up so that there was a box that, if I learned forward a little, would shield me from her view, and so during *those scenes*, I simply leaned forward a little and [silently] "let it fly" :P
