Mick rocks out on drums and Lindsey gives a truly outstanding performance on guitar. To me he's a criminally underrated guitarist.

Mick, John and Christine could follow Lindsey's lead everywhere and every second. He could play for as long or short of a time he chose and they were all there with him every note. It was spectacular.

Mick Fleetwood heard Lindsey Buckingham play guitar on Frozen Love before Nicks and Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood then found Lindsey and offered him a chance to join his band. Lindsey told Mick, Stevie and I are a team, you will have to take both of us. Fleetwood said OK. That's how Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks became part of Fleetwood Mac. History was born. What a great group of musicians!

I saw them live in 1980. The group had been broken up for over a decade when I stumbled across this reunion concert in 1996 or 1997 on VH1. I was so blown away that I almost cried. Such an incredible performance. You must watch the whole thing someday. Don't cheat yourself!

Lindsey uses No Pick. Voted Guitarist of the Year several times. I've seen him/them twice.

Lindsey is such an underrated guitarist. I seem to remember that for years he either built or designed his own guitars to get a specific sound. This is what makes this version of Fleetwod Mac so good is that they really put a lot of emotion and feeling into their song(not just the Rumors album). Back in the 80's the was a local band that did a cover of this and were pretty good, so much so we didn't care which bar they were playing at we went to see them.

Yes this guitar is one of those prototypes. Any time he stepped away from FM they had to hire 2 to replace him. That says it all

That's a great one though it's still growing in length. There's an audio version from the Tusk tour in Cleveland from 1980 which might be the best and great video version from 2004 from their Say Your Will Tour in Boston that reached 10 minutes.
@caps6894 ай бұрын
Superlative guitarist and composer - he excels at so many different styles. Lindsey wrote most of the music for this in 1971 - when he was seriously ill for a year and finished the orchestration and lyrics in 1974 after his father suddenly died, he and Stevie were dropped from their music label and maybe after one of the times Stevie left him. So, dark times but he wasn't even 25 yet. It was meant for their second Buckingham Nicks album but became one of their songs rolled into their first FM album when they joined in 1975. The recorded song on the album is a pale imitation of any of his live performances and it got longer and longer until it hit 10ms in 2004 Live In Boston.

@@HeyItsCasser Come live is a pulsating wonder. The version on Live In Boston is fantastic. Go Insane is great as well though I prefer the Renaissance acoustic version he did of it - very dark and beautiful.

YES! Legendary performance, Lindsey blows minds with his guitar sound and technique, just a totally unique nd awesome musician. Fleetwood Mac at their best, we are not worthy! When I saw them, they jammed out this song a good 10 minutes, the teenage girls next to me started crying as the solo got so emotional, that dude is beyond underrated, one of the best ever as is every single person in the band, RIP Christine McVies, I still mourn your loss, another underrated musical savant. Great band! Long Live Fleetwood Mac! Try His Go Insane video for more genius Lindsey Buckingham. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥

Not related to this one specifically, but listened to how much you liked Barenaked Ladies and couldn’t find you checking out Blues Traveler - “Hook” would be first recommendation because the lyrics are hilarious as well, and the band (and specifically the singer John Poppet has a great voice and also is an elite harmonica player.

@@lauraallen55 Stevie lied as she is prone to though usually under the guise of telling stories. Stevie told Mick it was him or her and she knew Mick would choose her for the bigger tour money. Mick said he twisted John's arm for 3 days until he agreed and did it all behind Christine's back so she didn't have a vote or influence over John. Then Stevie & Mick went out and told the press and public that Lindsey refused to tour for over a year and no one member was above the band. (after Stevie had pushed back tours unilaterally before including the 50th anniversary tour from 2017 to 2018 and refused to join a band album) Lindsey sued them for breach of contract. It all came out in court papers. FM lawyers said they'd love to see him in court - then settled 3 weeks later and gave him his promised tour money ($12-14m) and he didn't even have to sign an NDA.
