I really dont think there was any romantic intentions at all on Kraft's part. Felt like keeping memories/proofs of existences alive are very important to him as he has had to let people go forever. He sees someone who will go/has gone thru similar hardships and wants to offer a sort of comfort. Comfort that someone alive knows she exists and probably the same for him too.

Frieren is about over a thousand years and she still looks relatively young, Kraft from a human perspective looks around mid to late twenties, meaning he must be atleast a thousand years older than Frieren or even longer, man has seen civilizations rise and fall, he has to be a forgotten legendary hero from his time or something.

Oh they did not make the connection >_< When Heiter mentioned that he might have a daughter who might become a mage, it was a foretelling of things to come. So, Freiren shared her knowledge about mana suppression with Heiter. Years later Heiter adopted Fern and thought her about mana suppression. Then Freiren met Fern and commented on Fern's excellent control of her mana at a young age, without realizing that the knowledge came from her passed down by Heiter. So, it came full circle.

Yeah, the Goddess doesn’t mean all that much to Frieren, so receiving praise from her wouldn’t be as impactful as it would be for someone devout like Heiter and Kraft. So instead, Frieren’s friends would praise her, which would be much more meaningful than some stranger’s praise.

The way I understood the praise conversation is that the goddess is an eternal being and unlike those on the mortal plane will not die and will remember you forever. So in turn when they said I'll give you praise I understood it as "I will tell the goddess about you even if you don't believe them and even when I am gone there will still be one left to remember you long after you yourself are gone". That is how I interrpreted it

I think praise in this context means acknowledgement. Like an 'I see you'. For Kraft, there is no one left on the mortal realm who remembers his deeds, so he has turned to the spiritual to acknowledge him. From a religious background, this is way more deep and humble than just wanting people to remember you (even if Kraft himself thinks it's selfish). It's like the mindset of if no one sees you struggling, no one remembers you, no one is there for you, god is out there seeing you, remembering you etc. But just like Heiter said, it's just more convenient to think that way maybe, but it is nice.

In the episode where Frieren said there weren't many elves left she also said elves mostly don't have the drive to reproduce and aren't really interested in it, so not many babies are born and that's part of why they're slowly dying out, especially after the Demon King killed so many of them. It's not suprising that Kraft and Frieren didn't even think about that subject.

They still remember Frieren because it's not even a century yet since they defeated the Demon King. As for Kraft... Well, it's already hinted it's way longer than that. Probably even way longer than Frieren is alive because she doesn't remember and she used to travel with her master around the lands. Just keep in mind that in this story, Frieren is JUST a powerful mage. It's not a Shonen anime, nor is it an OP isekai anime (You watch a lot of anime, you should know what this means). From what I can see, Kraft probably sees Frieren as a child, teach her lessons and even calling her "young". So he would probably feel like pedo if he goes after her like that.

Spoiler Frieren is last in the line of Great Mages (after Flamme). The 1st class of mages are simply the strongest combat mages. They're graded for their ability to fight other magic users. The Great Mages are a different category entirely. There are currently two living Great Mages in the story.

I was watching the Faraway Paladin last night, and Menel the elf who travels with Will the paladin, met an elf who tells them "See you again soon". To which Menel says that it is true that when elves say, "see you soon" usually literally means "see you next year".. hahaha ^_^;;;
