It didn’t mention it in the show, but the Shane Degrassi book showed the events leading up to when he jumped from his prospective. When he jumped, I think he was thinking about Spike & he thought he could fly.

I’m so excited for next season. I haven’t watched it in a while but I remember liking it even better than season 1. I do, however, remember the season premiere and it’s one of my favorite Degrassi episodes of all time.

Mr. Walfish (eye candy) was in the first episodes of Degrassi High. 😅 It's so interesting how a lot of shows back in late 80's/early 90s then were having episodes tackling "caffeine pill addiction" (Saved By the Bell) and dyslexia/dysgraphia (The Cosby Show).

I don't think Degrassi Jr. High ever stated if Shane fell or attempted to unalive. Either they didn't think of a reason, didn't want copycats (like when Ellie's SH arc caused people to learn ineffective coping mechanisms), or just wanted to show what can happen on drugs.
