Enjoyed your reaction. The original 'Equalizer' was a popular TV series in the 1980s. Completely different character, but the same basic idea - former superspy who uses his skills to help people in trouble, contacted via a regular newspaper ad. He followed the same pattern each time - politely approach the troublemakers and suggest they back off, sometimes even offer a deal of some kind and, when they refused, he would take their entire organization apart. Denzel Washington's version of The Equalizer is amazing. :)

After the first bloodbath, McCall was able to finally get a good night’s sleep. Based on the 1985-89 TV series. The brief opening montage is one of the scariest at the time. The city streets when the sun sets is terrifying. Innocents stalked by evil, but lurking in the shadows was The Equalizer, an avenging guardian angel played heroically by the late Edward Woodward. He made you feel safe. His life lessons in the series kept me safe and reassured in real life, going home very late at night after work. His wise words ringing in my ears. Walk with confidence, not like a victim. Stay in the light with people around. Take the long way home, avoid shortcuts in dark alleys. Trust your gut and walk away or find another route. Denzel Washington is a great Robert McCall and made you feel safe like Woodward did. In the final bloodbath McCall descends into savagery as he unfortunately, finds his original self which he has been restraining all this time, now unleashed. His call sign in the series “Odds against you! Call The Equalizer”.

Timing yourself in everything is a manner to have a memory of how long it takes to do things so that can be used when calculating variables quickly. It can simply be described as discipline.

I've watched several reactions to this movie but yours is one if not the best. You're a very smart lady picking up on so many details that a lot of people miss. Oh, I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of you :)

It's really enjoyable to see how much fun you had while watching this movie. The first Equalizer is a masterpiece. Glad you liked it so much! :) Other really good movies by Antoine Fuqua are Training Day, Olymups has fallen and Shooter.

🇨🇦 My favourite actor for years now, Denzel Washington did justice to the original series, starring Edward Woodward ! My two favourite movies of his are "Man on Fire" and "Deja Vu" 🇨🇦
