Family group from Minneapolis. The Jets charted 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1986 - 1989. "Make it Real" was their 7th single to chart and the last of their 5 Top 10 hits, peaking @ #4 on the Hot 100 & oddly, only #24 on the R&B chart. Usually these songs kill on the R&B chart but are lesser hits on the Hot 100, but this one reverses that trend.

Elizabeth Wolfgramm has one of the best voices to ever been recorded. She is amazing! The group eventually got screwed over by their label, and the groups split up when her older brothers sued for rights to the name of the group from their younger siblings, and Elizabeth became jaded to the business and stopped performing after that for a long time. She also is a breast cancer survivor! Strong women! And I must admit, growing up with this group, I had the HUGEST crush on Elizabeth Wolfgramm, especially after they released the song "You Got It All". If you liked this song, you will truly LOVE that song. Something in how Elizabeth sings, she really sells the song to you. You believe every word she sings is coming from her heart.

I wouldn't say they got screwed as much as I would say they didn't know the laws of the industry but how do you split a song amongst 10 people? Music is split by the 💯 so going in with ten members not including the label split, producer split, writer split where does that leave the singer split in 10 by 100? You are setting yourself up for nothing so I blame their parents for setting them up rather than the label

My first concert was The Jets. I was in 8th grade and they played the local high school. The tickets were made available to us junior high students for an inexpensive price. My cousins, some friends, and I all went. They played in the gymnasium. It was super fun. We were all dancing and just having a good ole time.

These were 8 siblings out of a total of 17. Elizabeth, the lead singer, was 12 years old when they exploded onto the charts. She has a beautiful voice. Imo their best hits that you guys should check out are Crush on You, Curiosity, and Rocket (led by one of the brothers) but this is my favorite ballad by them along with You Got It All. Welcome to the dark side Jay lol. You can groove to slow songs just as hard as you jam or rock out to fast songs. Some of the best vocalizations, harmonies, various instrumentation, and arrangements can often be found on slower tracks than fast one.

I was waiting for the Jets! My high school won a seatbelt competition between schools in I think 87-88 and the prize was having the Jets in concert at the school. We had a lot of fun getting ready for them, and the concert was fantastic, they were at the height of their fame at the time. Good memories!

An underrated Minneapolis sound group!; not usually mentioned in the same breath as other local groups who made it big! The Jets had 5 songs in the Hot-100 and 6 hits overall! I've had the pleasure to see the Jets in concert several times! Sadly, the family is split, performing as two separate groups. I hope they get their differences ironed out and reunite! With the family DeBarge you get two acts, Switch and DeBarge. Switch featured the two eldest sons Tommy and Bobby. Their hits include, "There Never Be, I Call Your Name, and I Wanna Be Closer." I just saw today that Eugene passed away on Monday, April 15th at age 56 from complications of a heart issue. I don't think he was in this video, he may have went on to his own musical project at this point. He was adopted by the family.
