No actually a privacy fence can take away the sunlight out of your neighbours yard. So i do get it if it takes away their sunlight they do not like it. Some do not have a lot of sun in their yard. Just imagine you have a yard that only has sunlight in one spot and then your neighbour installed a fence taking all of it away😂. I have worse neighbours. We have a trampoline under an open roof. I dont know how you call it in english. Basicly a part of yard with a roof over it. That has been standing there for a 100 years or more. The neighbours decided to place their terras next to that part of the yard we have. We dont have much yard. They have a huge yard that goes around their house and even behind our property. So when the neighbours placed their terras there they decided that roof took away to much sunlight. And the trampoline noise bothered them. But the trampoline was allready standing there for 4 years... it was the only place where it could stand. She came and said i should place it out in the open on the part where we park our cars. She complained before about our cars being noisy when we come home. I told her we cannot silence the engine... i also told her im not changing jobs or my personal life because you cannot stand the sound of my car. So when she said to place the trampoline there i said no can do my car allready bothers you so much it would make so much more noise if i would have to place it next to your bedroom. She then said i could place my car on the street... i said no i cannot. Then the tractor wont be able to pass since these streets are only wide enough for 1 car. Then she was like you can put the trampoline in the front yard. I was like no cause that is crooked it cannot stand straight there. She was like you can let your yard be made even. I then said that costs money. I said look the trampoline stays where it is. Under the open roof protected from rain. Where it will last way longer then if it would stand in rain. Then she was like you can also place a roof over it in the front yard. And about that roof i need you to remove that as well it takes away the sunlight on our terrace. And then i said well you should have thought about that before placing your terrace there. That roof has been here over a 100 years. It was here before your house was even built. It was here before you were even born. It was here before you decided buying this land and building a house on it. You knew it was there and you knew where your sun would be. It is here and it will stay here. And if you want me to move my trampoline to the front yard and let it be evened out and install a roof over it for your convenience that is no problem as long as you take care of it and pay for it. Also even if i would want to remove or install you know very well i am not the owner and cannot do anything. I surely will not invest in a building i can get kicked out of at any time. You know very well who the owner is. She said fine i will ask the owner and you will see that roof dissappearing. I said yeah right good luck with that and laughed. Years later and even a new homeowner i still have my roof and trampoline in the same exact spot.😁

I think it might have something to do with the shadow of the fence. It could possibly cause more shadow, so some plants wouldn't be able to grow or it might even limit the light that is shining into a room. Then you would have to turn the lights on sooner, pay more for electricity etc.

For the bouncy castle at 3:00, the daughters actually told their dad they wanted to let the mean 8 year-old come and play. They forgave her and didn't want to exclude her! What's funnier is he's still holding a grudge against the 8 yr, but is going along with his daughter's decisions. The many may be petty, but he's raising some great kids! lol

It's actually an inflatable water slide! It has a couple of slides you can use, go down together to race, and get wet in the few inches of water at the bottom. Some even have water guns on the sides that you can shoot at each other, and sprinkler areas. Some of them are surprisingly affordable. A former teacher of mine got one for her granddaughter and friends for her birthday. They had an absolute blast. Their neighbors were kind enough to let the splash side end in their back yard as it wouldn't have fit otherwise. This was back during the height of covid and nobody was sure that the kids could even get together. I like this whole story because his girls weren't holding grudges, because kid grudges run DEEP. He got them something nice to make up for her rudeness, but showed the neighbor girl that being nasty doesn't let you get your way or entitle you to access things you want from the people you were mean to.

I love the fence story! Reminds me of a former neighbor who thought she was the Parking Gestapo (as I called her), demanding that none of the other home owners park their cars in front of her house. This was a PUBLIC street so first come, first serve. Most of the time the rest of us would try to be courteous & not park in front of each others' homes but sometimes there was no choice so we had to take what was available. This woman would figure out who drove which car & then go knock on their doors to tell them to move their car from the front of her house. The cars are not blocking access to her home, she just wanted to have that spot for her husband or visitors. Side note - the houses were designed so that the driveways & garages were located behind the house (back alleyway). The neighbor to my left was a Sheriff deputy for our county & would drive his patrol car home. That way he could begin & end his shift from home without having to drive all the way to the station. One time he had to park his vehicle in front of her house when he finished work for the night because another neighbor was hosting a family birthday party. So the street was full of cars. About 15 minutes after he got home, She had the audacity to walk down two houses & knock on his door to tell him to park somewhere else. Her husband was already home from his job & she wasn't expecting any visitors. She just didn't like having a police car there. Well, you can imagine he was none too happy & told her that she has no claims to any parking on a public street. If she wanted, she could put in a request to have that spot designated to her (for a valid reason such as being handicapped), but that was up to the city council to approve. Even if she did have that, this is a clearly marked law enforcement vehicle which is exempt from any "parking rules". He told her he could park anywhere he wanted, so if she kept harassing him (& other neighbors) he would make it a point to always park in front of her house, even if the street was completely empty. HAHA! She sulked back to her house wearing lovely shades of red & purple on her face with veins bulging from her forehead, out of rage & embarrassment because I just happened to be out, "sweeping" my front porch & overheard the whole encounter. I baked him a batch of cookies the next day & we had a good laugh at her expense. :-)

My friend did something similar in terms of the first one. Her neighbor was having a graduation party for her son and one side of my friend's backyard garage faced their backyard where the party was gonna be. Neighbor told my friend to re-paint the siding on the garage as it was peeling off. HOA told her to re-paint but she asked if it had to be a certain color. They said no. So my friend invited some of her friends including me and my dad over to help re-paint the garage on the neighbor's side. She said to bring any leftover paint lying around our house and it can be any color. So one day we all came and peeled off the paint that was coming off and then proceeded to paint each strip of siding a different color. We could hear the neighbor cursing at us from her house but we just continued and it actually looked really nice and colorful! Fast forward to the day of the grad party. The neighbor rented a tent with a tarp or something hanging from the tent to block the view of the garage. Could have just done that to begin with lol

Honestly, if I don't care what people think of me now, why am I supposed to care when I'm dead? LOL

Went to a funeral, family member, I was heartbroken. The preacher giving the eulogy did not know her and went around talking about her to family before the service. He said something about her being so forgiving. The entire room started snickering and some right out laughed. 😅 Made us all feel better 😅

Same thing happened to us. My mother in law was a horrible person. At her funeral the pastor talked about how generous and kind she was and how she supported the local high school sports. Everyone knew that she embezzled funds from the booster club.

That's how I want my funeral to be, not a day in which everyone is sad, because hey I've finally left this earth, be happy for me instead of being selfish and thinking that you'll miss me! Get absolutely wasted cheering in my memory, and have a party! Put the fun in funeral!

After watching the "Citi-bike Karen" video, I don't think they were wrong for calling out that woman's racism. Yes, she was in the right as far as she had receipt for paying for the bike, but her fake crying and pleading for help could have gotten these young black men killed. It was a misunderstanding but she tried to escalate it to violence the same way "Central Park Karen" did. People need to lighten up on criticizing Vanessa and Charlotte. I'm well aware that many of the TikToks they feature are skits and fake, but I don't watch this channel to see TikTok, I watch to see Charlotte's funny reactions to people's craziness, and it never gets old! It's difficult to find several videos per day that are entertaining enough to use. If you want to research if it's "real" or a hoax, it's usually fairly easy to do. Or, we could just laugh along with Charlotte!

In college I had a roomie who started dating this guy who went to the same school. Anyway, they ended up getting engaged and married really soon after and my roomie moved out of my dorm and into the one next door. Someone adviced her to not put their bed up against the wall we shared because we had thin walls. Anyway, whenever they got back from their honeymoon I kept hearing banging and... otherworldly noises. If there was any doubt as to what they were, all doubt dissipated the moment I looked out the window and kept seeing either my roomie or her hubby taking a lap to cool off before going at it again... every time wearing a different outfit. Anyway, I finally had enough of it after a day or two of this happening and waited until the banging stopped before playing catch in my room with a tennis ball and glove. Against the same wall. When I got done, I took a stroll outside and sure enough, my ex-roomies husband came outside to try to find the source of the noise. To which I said, "oh I'm so sorry, was I bothering you? Yeah, that was me throwing a tennis ball against the wall. Just imagine how much louder it would have been if it'd been a big headboard banging against the wall with the force of two bodies against it 😊😐" his face turned beet red and he walked back inside. A moment later I heard them screeching the bed away from the wall. That night I had the best sleep of my life.

The first story reminded me of when my family was kinda petty. Short version: elderly woman hated our how our lawn and filed complaints against it. So we planted 7 evergreen trees to block her view of our backyard. More details: So we have this elderly woman who lives behind our house and her view is of our backyard. She takes extremely good care of her yard. She picks up the sticks and leaves by hand and sweeps the grass. When I was 11 I built a teepee like thing in the yard out of sticks. It was just a circle of sticks leaning against a tree. Roughly a month of it being up, she filed a complaint against it. So I had to dismantle my teepee. A few years later my family had about 13 trees in the backyard chopped down due to the risk of them falling on the house. Many, many short logs of wood were created and so we piled them in the corner of the yard. Again our lawn was complained against for being too messy or whatever so we had to remove many stumps to be below the fence line. It was after that we planted the evergreen trees. Haven’t had a complaint from her since!

I got some petty revenge on a neighbor the other day, I think Charlotte'd be proud of me! My neighbor's perpetually angry... Other day she's sitting 3ft away making rude comments about me in front of me. I turned to her & said "I don't know why you're so rude to me! It's not like anything REALLY happened between Mike and I!" (Mike is her recent ex; NOTHING ever happened w us!😂) When I tried to reaffirm that, she didn't believe me😂😂😂 Mike'd roll his eyes & mouth 'sorry' when she'd make comments so, I'm sure if she called him to complain, he probably got a kick out of it as well!

My sister's boyfriend has the habit of not putting things back where he found them. So, every time he uses the nail clippers and doesn't put them away, she hides them, and he goes to buy new ones when he needs them again. She's up to seven pairs, and he hasn't mentioned anything. The best part is that she does her own nails at home, like proper tips and acrylic and stuff. She has also hidden his facewash and plans to wrap everything up as a gift for his birthday

So I hid the remote. I didn't even complain to him about how he forgot. I said nothing...girl, I was going to beech him out, had a whole text wrote out n everything xD Now I wake up w the screen on normal. I know its small but he doesn't put anything back. The funeral reminded me of being on dance team in high school. We were practicing in the gym, and somehow the wires got crossed, and we picked up a funeral from a church down the road over our sound system. I just remember hearing them saying, "Dearly beloved. We are gathered here to [something about condolences] for our dearly departed brother Thaddeus." And I remember "Amazing Grace" playing over our music and how distracting that was. So yeah, all of that was to say funerals can start with, "Dearly Beloved," as well, lol.

The funeral tho.... I went to my grandfather's funeral to hear how wonderful his male friends thought he was. He was a serial cheater who used to flaunt it in front of his wife and children. He used to make my father shine his work boots every morning, as well as all of his other children who were in charge of his own chores. It's like they were treated like slaves. He used to slap waitresses a$$e$, as he was ordering food. When I was 8 years old, he said I needed to lose weight. He was a pig, and every word I heard from his pig friends was making me more and more angry. I ended up leaving in the middle of the services, because I couldn't stand the lies. I regret going at all. When I heard he was dying, I went up to him, because I felt sorry for him. I told him, " You know grandpa, Jesus loves you and forgives you for everything, if you ask Him to." He replied, " What do I need to ask forgiveness for?" Ugh!!! If he made it to heaven, that is a miracle. I will be surprised to see him there.... RIP GRANDMA. You were an angel for dealing with this gross human. I am proud of you for leaving!!
