Why don't people block their exes? When my husband of 15 years left me and moved in with his side chick, he would call and tell me to kill myself (he was worried about what our divorce would cost him). I blocked his calls and IMs on social media, so he had to send all communication through email. He was dumb enough to threaten my life in writing because he thought his emails would be inadmissable in our state (two party consent). If one commits a crime (such as terroristic threats) it becomes very admissible in court. He was right, our divorce cost him a LOT!

My boyfriend has a crazy ex girlfriend. Shes literally batshit. They broke up because she was doing sex work in his apartment while he was at work, and the complex opened up an investigation into HIM for sex trafficking. Then after we got together and he blocked her number, she started contacting his Facebook friends and asking them to message him for her. It took us a year to get free of her. It kills me because she made him so paranoid that for awhile he was terrified that I'd do the same thing to him. But, happily ever after, we shared our trauma and helped heal each other (of course wirh the help of therapy) Crazy exes are the absolute worst.

She would show up at the apartment and knock on the door and bang on the sliding glass and all the windows cuz he had her blocked on everything. My bf has a crazy ex, who had the audacity to tell people he cheated on her, physically and mentally abused her, raped her and also tried do kill her. I’ve been with him for almost 5 years (they for 8 months) and I still haven’t seen “this side of him”. Truth is, she was jealous when she found out I was pregnant. It was around October ‘21 when she found out and I was about 15 weeks pregnant. And the ironic part, she was the toxic one. Was coming in to say thus, too. My husband and I married young (21/22). I've heard people say that we shouldn't be giving up on dating/partying etc. We're both homebodies, neither of us were big drinkers/clubbers etc. We were best friends before we fell in love. I can't help but look at the chaos of people in their 20s and even 30s these days, and be so glad I didn't have to go through all of that. I had a crazy ex when I was 21 (I'm 31 now) that got me comic con tickets for my birthday, but we ended up breaking up before comic con because he was being creepy and not taking no for an answer. One day I'm at work and I get a text from him from a mutual friends number, as I had blocked him, it was a picture of the tickets he had gotten me (which were IN MY HOUSE). So he broke into my house to get the tickets back because he didn't want me to go. Fast forward to the day of comic con, I get home from work and there's a lanyard of one of my favorite animes on my door handle (I changed the locked after he broke in and took the tickets back)... Later that night I have a guy friend over and we are doing adult things, tell me WHY I got a text from him saying he had a "bad dream" that I was hooking up with someone, and then DETAILED what had happened between my guy friend and I! I once had this emotionally/psychologically abusive gold-digging narcissistic ex who wanted us to get matching tattoos. And by matching she meant her name on my wrist and a star beind her ear. So glad I didn't. She cleared out my savings and maxed all my credit cards preventing me to visit my Grandfather in England before he died. The money I can replace...but missing out on time I could have spent with my Grandfather while walking around for life with her name on my wrist? Hell no. I'm sure she just wanted to brand me as her latest victim. And I am sure I wasn't the first because she had four stars behind her ear.

@@audreym3908 this was like 2003. It was more than my wallet. I kept that. However due to her manipulative behaviour and I with a mental disability she cleared me out. Life savings gone. Credit destroyed. Lost out on rent and damage to a place we were to live into. If my friends weren’t keeping up and kept the doors open I would have been homeless. Both credit cards maxed. Sadly it all could have been avoided if I listened to my friends.

Was financially ruined and ended up dating another abusive narcissist right after her who…kid you not, screamed at me for hours when my Grandfather died three days before Christmas of 2005 because my being sad was making her uncomfortable. I can still hear her screaming in my head “I can’t handle this! STOP F*****G CRYING! What do you want me to do? WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!” After these two ladies I swore of dating for a decade to work on myself and to get proper supports and treatment for my mental disability. About the girl who was making fun of her ex’s outfits, to be fair, those who know her and the ex will know she is talking about him regardless of her covering up his face, name and etc. I can see how that can be embarrassing for him. I’d be embarrassed if my friends and family saw a video of my ex online for everyone and anyone to see, mocking me. I do think that rather then engage with her, he should have just reported her video (I think you can report videos on tiktok). He could of simply just sent the 1 message and nothing else. But I do get why he was pissed at her for making the video. Adding that the girl just sounded extremely shallow, and absolutely nasty. Her attitude was embarrassing. The entire video was screaming “I think I’m better then everyone, I want validation”, which is frankly very pathetic. I find it stupid, how people want to automatically assume that the ex boyfriend did something to deserve the humiliation from the ex girlfriend. As this girl proved from the TikTok trashing her ex’s clothes, women can be a-holes, just as much as men can. The ex girlfriend could have easily just been a b word the entire relationship, as much as the ex boyfriend could have been one as well. So Charlotte, maybe instead of invalidating his feelings about being embarrassed online for all his friends, family colleagues and more to see, acknowledge that fact. I love you, but as much as you tried really hard to seem impartial, you were clearly on the girls side and assuming the ex boyfriend did something to deserve it, while not even raising the possibility that the ex girlfriend could also just be a toxic b. I love you charlotte, but you are a bit too biased when it comes to women vs men, and tend to dismiss the men’s side, and only really acknowledge the women’s side, which is a bit toxic. I’m a women myself, making this observation. No hate, I’m just pointing out something that maybe you should think about and work on.

I used my cat as one of the excuses as to why I didn’t want to move in with him (he was hella persistant) and said that him having my cat would allow me to sleep, my cat was a kitten at the time and was keeping me up. Honestly, if I’d let him take the cat I would’ve moved in shortly after. Within the three months he also tried to baby trap me and he was all around a horrible human being. I hate a employee who stalked me. I was living in TX at the time and was the asst mgr a store in the mall (only job I could get). Had a great crew, all got along. I had two family emergencies back to back. My mom who lived with me had open heart surgery & my grandmother passed away. I asked this guy to stay with my mom for 72 hrs because that would be how long I would be gone. He said he would be happy too. My daughters teacher drove us the hr to the airport to fly back home& picked us up when we got back. He was not at my hose. He left my mom alone. I had to go to work the next day exhausted. Eventually he started telling me how much he loved me and I shot him down. I was engaged to a Army Sergeant (E-5). We started getting calls every time I was getting to leave to on post from this guy that he knew I was going & didn’t know if I would make it. Totally freaked out because I lived in the middle of nowhere, no neighbors. He got fired for the stalking. Then one day he showed up & started screaming to see me, I hid behind the register & my employee kept him from seeing me when he looked in the glass. He tore up the store, lifted & dropped a car we used for a display & was arrested. Eventually my fiancé & his friends had a conversation with him & he didn’t bother me. That was until I moved back home when my fiancé was was deployed & he started calling me at my house, questioned why I moved into the hood & knew what my house looked like that I had gone back to school & where my daughter went to school. One day one of the corner guy boys told me that whoever was creeping around my house wasn’t going to be around anymore & walked away. I don’t know who that guy was, couldn’t thank him. But super happy that these guys took care of the women and children in their neighborhood

Years later I left him and divorced him (he cheated on me repeatedly as well as some other bad things). My ex fiancee's ex wife messaged me, befriended me, got me to talk to him to try to get them back together (they had a child together and I didn't want to be a home wrecker). He kept telling me how crazy she was and the crazy shit she'd done to him. I thought he was exaggerating until one day he was sick and I was finishing his work for him that Skype messages started popping out from her and I saw she was saying horrible shit about me! I confronted her she called me worse names. For 4 years she was reaching out to my friends and family, wrote an article about me on the Internet, stalked me from fake accounts, rallied people from her country to report my Facebook account. Called his work and got him fired (same work he was paying her child support from) and when he couldn't pay she'd make their son cry and send him videos. Absolutely held the son hostage and he could only talk to his dad after his dad sent money (mostly she used the money on herself and to take her extended family to hotels etc) while on the video call she'd wear lingerie!!.. Anyway, I said fuck it and left for various reasons, met my husband and then comes COVID.. my ex reached out to me telling me they're literally starving and asking if my new man could send her money since he couldn't. I refused for days then felt sorry for the kid.. she STARTED HITTING ON MY MAN and texting him every day telling him I'm a slut and I sleep around! We stopped helping her. I don't know how they survived covid since her and my ex didn't work. Note: I was REALLY young when the first part happened and years after , came covid I thought she matured or cured her crazy but I guess not. Also that second man is now my husband, we're happily married and we have a son. I dodged a bullet there. I mean it was a nightmare but I can't thank God enough I didn't marry my ex.

This happened to my cousin too. Months after they broke up, he got a tattoo of a doodle she did of her own name. My cousin was 21 and the guy was 32, so already creepy. Not long after the tattoo, the guy got with an 18 year old girl who looked VERY similar to my cousin and they were engaged within a few months. This happened about a decade ago now, but I believe the whole relationship was something like 3-6 months before the dude got married to the teenager. And it was clear he was still obsessed with my cousin bc he would do weird things - like call our workplace and put in fake complaints. Thankfully the harassment stopped on it own, but I worry for that teen he got married to.

When my abusive ex and i broke up, i was in a seriously vulnerable state mentally. I had to get the help of a therapist to block my ex from everything because just seeing his name pop up on a screen set me into a panic. In fact in the process of blocking him, he called me and i just froze. After blocking him, he tried everything he could to get into contact with me, even using his stupid little friends to call/text and was even sending ppl to my place. I lost some friends in that process but let me tell u it was worth the loss. Now almost seven years later I’m with a great guy that is the total opposite of my ex. Couldn’t be happier.
