One of those voices singing that backup is Linda Ronstadt, yeah, that one. She's not in the video, but credited on the album. if you watch that again you'll see the restaurant changes, the cars change and seemingly we are sent back in time. The dancers are younger, representing the younger pair of lovers, seemingly a younger Neil and Pegi.

Harvest Moon was released in 1992 with a lot of the same back up musicians that were on his 1972 Harvest album. Such a beautiful song, delivered in a spectacular way. The acoustic guitar, piano and banjo goes back to the basics of Neil. And of course, the harmonica. One of his bests. Great reaction. My first album by Neil was 'After the Goldrush', I listened to it all night long, hoping to meet him one day, lol, I was 15 yrs. old full of dreams, and that dream did unexpectedly come true 6 yrs. later when my friend who owned a little bar up in the San Mateo mountains ask if I could help because he was short a bartender. It was extremely busy, and this soft spoken guy comes up to the waitress station and starts ordering drinks from me slowly one at a time, lol, I said you need to be quicker than that, it was Neil he smiled and kept ordering slowly, lol.

Absolutely love the setting of the Mountain House. I used to go there and absolutely soak up the vibe. The gentleman with the broom was the GM of the restaurant at that time. Neil's music is timeless and that band, in particular, was loaded with talent, including the studio backup singers, Larry Cragg, Linda Ronstadt, and the lovely, Nicolette Larson. This song always brings me back to that time, living in Northern California, that amazing drive from San Mateo to Half Moon Bay and the Mountain Hose nestled at the top of that ridge. Beautiful!

I’ve heard many musicians say that Neil Young has A larger catalog sent anyone else. Not only did he play guitar and play harmonica at the same time. He also did the same thing with the piano and harmonica. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, once as a solo artist and also with Buffalo Springfield from the 60s. He was not included with Crosby, Stills & Nash when they were inducted, even though he performed on many albums and life concerts with them. If he had been, then he would only be the second person besides Eric Clapton to be inducted three times into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame

👋 from 🇨🇦. Neil Young. You two have no idea. I have 78 Neil Young recordings. One of Neil's most powerful songs is, The Needle and the Damage Done, from the Harvest Album which Neil spontaneously decided to record songs he had been playing while on tour. Neil founded another band called Crazy Horse before this time and this song was written about one of the Crazy Horse Band Members. Neil's akso the Godfather of "Grunge", and for most of the last decade he's been touring and recording with a band called, The Promise of the Real, which was formed by two of Willy Nelson's sons. They said they had to learn 125 songs by Neil, and be ready to play them live; in no particular order. He's on tour with The Promise of the Real right now I think. Lots of Neil Young songs to pick from. Enjoy! Lots of Nanaimo Bar Joy and Happiness from 🇨🇦🎶✌🥁🎸😎👀
