APM checks are skill oriented but carrousel was terrible due to being luck and positioning based. Imo think fast was a nice augment. Made APM a thing. If you roll 50 times in 10seconds you're rewarded for being fast at clicking and thinking

I was one of the people who drew the Neeko art (DetailsFART) and I just wanna say, I love this skin for her and wish it could be ported over however we got a skin literally a month and a half ago. It doesn’t feel fair that some characters haven’t gotten something in a long time, so I’m not necessarily too sad about it being a TFT exclusive. Plus it’s not like the modding community isn’t gonna attempt to port these skins over themselves, much love to them ❤❤❤

As an League only player I get a little jealous when champs I play get exclusive skins for ( rift and now tft) that being said, I'm not going to throw a fit over it. It reminds me of pre-orders for games that go on PS or Xbox. If I want these exclusives I have to play or buy them on that system. Just how it works.

Chosen is better for pivoting than locking comps because they give you a 2* version of the unit but that's why it's too strong imo. Just play strong until level 8 and roll down and get lucky getting a chosen legendary unit and suddenly you have a free 2* legendary on your board to pivot your team around. Augments force you to play a specific type of comp much more than chosen does. Then again my first set actually playing tft was set 4 so i probably like chosen a lot cause of nostalgia

About the music changing depending on your board... what happens with arenas that have their own music? For example this bilgewater arena from the latest pass has it's own theme version that changes as the game goes on, will it overwrite the song of these arenas or will they have this music feature turned off?

Riot composer here - there's a new switch in settings called "Enable Arena Music" where you can choose to hear the custom arena music OR the Set 10 music, so it's up to you! Also, glad you're enjoying the Bilgewater arena music, I wrote that one!

I'm pretty sure that the sprite for this set is the one behind the developers in the video. (probably gonna be called "a true fan" or something similar) The bubble tea sprite was made for TFT players in APAC region (as a token of gratitude for their patience), since they will finally be getting the mobile app on the launch of set 10. The sprite will eventually be available to everyone else at some later date.

I am a casual TFT fan when it comes to the competitive scene, I think you are right that the addition of the Emerald Tier is to remain consistent with the other games, although I have heard from high-level TFT players in the past claim that there is a significant skill gap between players at certain ranks, some claiming TFT is a wildly different game depending on your rank; the game becomes more comparable to high stakes poker at higher ranks. I know Masters is considered the first rank when this poker style of game begins to occur, so the addition of the Emerald tier feels fitting to me.

I've been hovering around high diamond for some time now, but frequently duo with an ex-GM friend so I've frequently played in Master-Challenger elo ranked games. And like. The difference between Diamond and Master/GM is astronomical. If you look at the rank distribution, there are more players in Masters than Diamond 1 (thanks to a lack of ability to be demoted) and there are a lot of players just sitting at Masters 0 LP forever because Mid-High elo and true high elo are just completely different worlds of gameplay.

Honestly, riot being a company with so many different games under their control, if they take a risk or put a lot of hard work into a concept specific for one game, if the feedback and desire for it is massive from another one of their games fan base, you already know that this concept will be an insane money maker or better yet influence to get more people invested into playing you game. One of the best ways to get feedback on potential concepts is putting them into other games as well completed and polished propositions.

Heads up! Not necessarily in *some* metrics but most actually. Set 4/Set 4.5 have been consistently beloved and ranked high by the high elo community overall. Given that mortdog is in that community and often talks with high elo players, it is a pleasant surprise for most of us here in the tft community. It was very skill expressive to sell the chosen and quickly roll for a better one. However I cannot talk for the casual players' opinions
