I mean they said it in their last live dev interview that they fixed alot of these issues and to see Stoopz acknowledge that they have is a great thing. I've been excited to try this game for awhile and glad it's not a Lineage 2 auto battler (wasn't always like that because it was one of my first MMO's and favorite MMO's during release, up to Chronicle 2/3 before it really just nose dived off a cliff. But that's besides the fact. I hold only those memory's very tightly in my MMO career and had some great experiences. Then they did Aion and all these other games that just suuuuuucked. I just hope to earn some new memories and enjoy an MMO again like back in the day. And yes I would like a deep dive review.

@@monsters181 great question dude! I suggest checking out two English KZbin channels for nearly week to week updates. One channels name is LeanTendo, and the others is Aethersong! Scroll through their previous uploads and check out the details of each update/new content. In addition, the blue protocol team does monthly live streams, they also have a KZbin channel. Btw when I say redemption arc for blue protocol specifically, I more so mean when they were having technical issues at and through launch. A lot of people were discouraged. They have fixed all the issues and they are QUICK to address said issues quickly

how do the whales get trapped? normal people waste all their resources lvling up blue gear cause purple stuff is rarer and pricier to upgrade.. a whale can straight up buy the endgame gear, pouring all their resources into that from the start. normal people will have a much harder time aquiring purples cause people will want to sell it to whales over giving it away. the 99% wont want to change out of their blues because of the expense of upgrading purples they got late, making whaling the only viable option for actual endgame once theyve had time to upgrade ofc. or am i missing something here?

@@iowkey_9339 The thing is that the currency to upgrade is way too limited and hard to obtain, even whales will have trouble upgrading due to the gold needed to upgrade gear a korean streamer already talked about that almost not one at the server has or wants full purple cuz it's financial suicide to do that, you will be in zeros gold wise if you dare to switch everything to purple and you will also be way under geared, the optimal thing to do is to have just 2 purples and work the enough in order for you to start working on other purples, even if whales buy full purple gear they will still need to farm their ass up to be optimal

Sure they can put the resources into purple earlier on (which is more expensive upgrading too), but they're restricted by the same soylent grind as everyone else. That a guild has to turn down the item in first place to even list it, I just don't see that many people going "you know what, rather than put this piece on and make my character stronger in a game that has rankings, I'm just gonna sell this on the market instead."

Good thing that they fixed it, its about time i move into a new MMO, been playing BDO for years now and before that ArcheAge and before that SWTOR while at the same time jumping to WoW every now and then when new content would come out. Im ready to try something new and i don't even care that it may be different from what i played before, that's part of the journey for me. I love learning how to play a new MMO and discovering all the things for the first time on my own without any guides. I can see myself sinking in some months into this at least

The game is amazing in many ways, I played for over week and half, got lv 50 and did part of the end game content. THE MAIN problem is that the game burns you out with shores, contracts are boring, secret dungeon after you cleared them one or two times are boring, and events after a while are boring. My favorite content is BOSS pvp and boons etc., but the fact the game forces you to do boring content to stay competitive, burns me out instantly.

Throne & Liberty looks a lot better than it did a few months ago. I'm not optimistic, but I'm hopeful that Amazon is able to figure something out when it launches in the West to keep P2W to a minimum. I'd honestly rather it just be pay-to-play game with a sub than have an auction house that lists gear using a real-money / premium currency. That being said, I'm still excited for this. I'm especially excited that it's coming to console as well.

ESO uses two weapon system as well. It almost has endless builds capabilities and even mixed hybrid builds. Healer Tank, DPS Tanks, DPS Healer, ect ect ect just not possible in any mmo Ive played. Played Throne and Liberty alpha and the combat was decent during that time. Game was ripe with potential. Great to hear its improved even more. Definitely felt a mix of modern and classic mmo. It's only "pay to win" in pvp. PVE it's hard to say it really matters.

@stoopz you talk about you can sell your items you find, in an auction house for cash shop currency. Is that what you classify as p2w, because you can buy stuff with the cash shop currency from the cash shop ? IMO its only p2w if the other things you can spend your cash shop currency on is actual improvements to your character/build. if not, for instance if you can only get like skins, wh space, mounts etc.. its no different than selling items via auction house for in game currency. Now I have not played this game yet sadly (looks amazing) so I have no idea how p2w it is, and normally I don't mind it to a certain degree as long as the game is good. I'm just curious to know exactly how p2w you think it is. Thanks for a great video.

That's just MMO gaming in general. There will always be a meta even if it's rooted in popular opinion (most metas can be region specific). In a class based system, people always migrate to the most op class almost immediately. However, in the case of TL, you have to commit resources to upgrade your weapon skills from green to purple (each stage also have 5 levels). For example, everyone can use wand and have access to healing skills but you're not a healer unless you're taking hard to acquire resources and upgrading those few heals over your dps skills. The difference between my green quality heal over my blue is pretty massive. Also, how you gear your character will also play into how useful you would be as a healer (which also must be upgraded with hard to get resources). Technically, you can upgrade everything and it won't matter in the long run but we're talking a lot of time spent grinding so your decisions early on are pretty impactful. Simply swapping builds to be on the meta train wont be as easy the more you commit your time/resources.

from what I understand though with the buying things from the marketplace was that you can only sell the base of the item. Which in turn you STILL need to farm in game currency to even upgrade it or transfer previous levels on ur current weapon over to it. So it's p2w to a point of GETTING the weapon but you still need to make it actually useful through in game playtime. The only thing I want them to fix or change a bit is the death's decreasing stats. Why does it also include pvp deaths? That only encourages players to zerg and win through pure numbers cause then you have lower chances of dieing along with pvp pretty much ending cause the lower guild counted people ( lets say 70 v.s 100) just can't take the debuffs attached to the deaths. and having to spend your in game currency to get rid of it is pretty upsetting. That system needs to be gone or revamped to be pve only cause that's ridiculous. especially with how much you have to pay. 34k from what I saw per death is stupid.

I still think that they should really improve on the Mage combat, being pinned on the spot while casting is an old mechanic that most games do not use, even classic games like WoW and GW2, removed that with each new expansion. They should improve the mage combat with more chain skills, casting while moving and making the mage skills way more impactful feel-wise (animation-wise), the damage is a bit on the low side as well while levelling up which puts plenty of mages on the hot spot, and furthermore, pins you on the spot when you want to cast a more powerful spell. I think this needs to be changed for the game to reach acceptable playability for a range of mage characters. For some reason, MMOs make Mage skills feel weak, there are only a few games that really make them feel impactful and powerful. So far, only a few games have met that expectation, for example, Riders of Icarus made the mage skills feel impactful, powerful and quite decently balanced compared to other skill animations in the game. Elder Scrolls Online makes the mage skills look above average, good, not as good as Riders of Icarus, but still good, and games like FFXIV make them feel so less impactful. I guess that is done due to players needing to be able to handle many players across the map, but there should be an option that ignores or puts the other players' skill to the current level but for the players themselves it makes them more impactful, and more beautiful. It should be a common thing in gaming these days. And waiting for 30 levels to get the dungeons unlocked is quite a huge wait, that is like 60% of the levelling, they should start way earlier like level 10 or something.

Do you know what casters do? Cast You're a mage not a ranger, wow still have casting times, warlock has casting times, mage has casting times, druid has casting times. in ffxiv you also have casting times for casters, cuz you're casting a spell it takes time, even in anime it takes time to prepare a spell that's the point of the whole archetype... I don't think casters are for you the whole point is to charge your shit stay put and throw that highlevel spell you're a mage not a ranger to be moving around doing pew pew pew, you really seem kind of lost with that's the whole point of those kind of classes

I didn't say that all spells should be instant, and I didn't say that cast shouldn't exist. Could you read my comment more carefully? I said that we should move during the cast, all modern games do that, that is the new combat system for all MMORPGs even those you mentioned. Yeah, some way more powerful spells that do tons of damage do take longer to cast but you can move during that cast even at a slower speed. It is a mechanic that this game severely lacks. And you can't come here and tell me what class is for me. I always play mages, I know how mages work.

Lost Ark in 3D and im so down. I need something new and fresh and graphically pleasing like this, I hope when it releases to the west it will have a update or three coming with it considering the English release will likely be a few months of content updates behind on release. Lost Ark issue 2.0 if they don’t notice that could be a issue and release that content either with the release or very soon after.
